Ellis' run is probably best written but I think to be considered the best run you have to capture the spirit of the franchise. He basically just turned them into Marvel's Suicide Squad which is missing the point.

I honestly think Marston's run is still the best for Wonder Woman, ridiculous as it is.
Other "original" runs I think haven't quite been surpassed are Lee/Kirby Fantastic Four. Every other run is just rearranging what Kirby did.
