I think Seth Rogen ruined Kevin Smith.
By no means was Kevin Smith good, but he was at least competent and actually cared about his characters. Ever since Rogen got him smoking more weed, we've gotten nothing but absolute reprehensible garbage from Smith.
I tried going back and watching Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back recently.

The whole thing was a bad idea.
An amateur animated made some Jay and Silent Bob stuff, and from that this was born. Even though I'm a huge Smith fan and have a bunch of collector DVDs of Clerks and his other early films I can't stand to watch this because of how bad it looks in motion.

Why is Kevin Smith so prevalent? The vast majority of his work ranges from unwatchable garbage to movies consisting almost entirely of in jokes. I get that he's a pretty cool guy but being a pretty cool guy isn't really justification for a supposedly influential career in movies.
