This is an upcoming Polish animated movie. It may seem Song of the Sea tier, but given how little successes we have had on this field, I find it a great progress.
What do you think? Can Poland into space now?
>>83284466
>>83284466
>It may seem Song of the Sea tier
Is that supposed to be a negative? Song of the Sea was great. Even if the visual style for this is a little derivative, it's a step in the right direction.
>>83284466
Looks good to me.
>Song of the Sea tier
Both that and Kells were amazing.
>>83284606
I personally enjoyed SotS very much, though I think it lacked impressive visuals, filming angles were rather boring and the animation was simple.
It looks great. I would give it a watch in theaters.
>>83284466
Looks generic but I am sure people will praise it just because it comes from Poland anyway.
>>83284466
You can just see that this focus on nationalists movies like Song of the Sea, Kells, Angry Birds and that awful russian movie with the war are an evidence of the rising of the shitty alt right on Europe.
So no OP, I'm not excited.
>>83284775
>Both that and Kells were amazing
Guess I gave Song as a negative comparison only because I remembered some /co/ threads hating on it. Now I feel silly.
>>83285034
I kinda wish it would be a tv series, but baby steps, Poland.
>>83285097
>people will praise it just because it comes from Poland
I never had thought I would live to see Poland gain itself position like this.
>>83285103
What's so bad when a coutry wants to represent itself in artistic way now that it owns means to do it? And even if a right wing is rising, it's only becasue the left one is overdoing it with its bullshit.
>>83285103
>nationalists movies
>rising of the shitty alt right on Europe
I see, so it's only multikulti if we care about sandnigger 'culture'?
>>83285103
Who let tumblr out of it's cage again?
>>83285274
>What's so bad when a coutry wants to represent itself in artistic way now that it owns means to do it?
It always come as picking mythic reactionaries narratives from the dark ages, with the simplistic "us vs them". If you don't see how this correlates with the actual polĂtical scenary you are a blind person.
>>83285103
Fuck off.
>>83285153
There's always someone who'll hate something. In my opinion both Kells and the Song are masterpieces that get a bad rep from SJW's. Basically if a SJW dislikes something it's usually very good and beneficial, and showcases something authentic and healthy.
>>83285450
>the simplistic "us vs them"
It may be said about literally every work of fiction. If we antagonize the plague that is trying to rob us out of our national identity though, is just becasue it earned it.
Either way, you clearly hadn't seen any of these movies, in most cases because they aren't out yet, so fuck you with your strawman arguments. Who exactly is againts who in Song of the Sea? And in the Russian war movie the Poles are the villians, so that shouldn't butthurt you.
>>83285441
>>83285392
>the media doesn't reflect and affect the polĂtical field guys!
>Its just a coincidence these animated movies with folkloric heroes dealing with invaders!
>>83285827
Sssshhh /co/ is /pol/ garden. Don't say any criticism to their dark ages cartoons.
>>83285827
Guess what, dealing with invaders was a part of our history as well as any other nation's. Wars happened and happens, even if you don't let that thought inside your safe space.
Anyway, I didn't deny it the post you quoted, and you are blindly repeating your socialist slogans over and over, which makes me sure you are a bait; but since thare are tons of people who actually thinks like you, it still makes me mad.
>>83285827
Your implication is that it's wrong to love your culture and your race, and that movies like these are somehow wrong.
But none of it is wrong. I embrace and want more movies like these. And I love both my race and my culture, and I will do everything I can to protect them and advance our interests. As will many, many others. You are now recognized as evil, as harmful, as a disease, and you will be cured along with all your browns and hijabis. You can no longer lie to people because the people of Europe and America know that you are an abomination.
>>83286179
>Unironically acting like a nazi.
Anyway, I'm white, french and atheists, not a refuge.
>>83286179
>>83286065
>>83285827
>>83285103
Calm down anon, the Middle East and China are beginning to also making animations. I hope I live to see one good animation from at least every nation that can afford to do it. The angry birds being racist meme got to you guys and you need to take a break from browsing /pol/ and political tumblrs.
Talk about a lame teaser. That animation of the kid is so fucking sluggish.
>>83285274
>I never had thought I would live to see Poland gain itself position like this.
High time someone here saw that our culture can be exported and monetized.
>>83286179
You just proved his point.
Anyway have you considered that not everyone want to see your culture? Keep it personal and in your house.
>>83284466
I see what you're doing. You're just trying to turn us into Skiaboos!
>>83286273
>atheist
Ew.
>>83286360
I was /pol/ before /pol/ was even made. And this is no longer a matter of opinion, but a cold reality of genocide and war. I side with my own, that is all. All those "refugees" can go and die in their barbarous lands, and I'd personally slit the throat of every single one of them, their women and catch their children on a bayonet.
>>83286467
Not everything has to look generic american. Other cultures have a lot to give in terms of artistical value, it's close minded to reject anything that does not look like your cartoon network nickelodeon disney shows. At the very most you can just not look, no one's forcing anything down your throat.
>>83286818
Why you make this a american X Europe thing? Nothing that I said implied this. I'm not even american lmao
>>83286818
By the way, just when is the new Sam Jack coming out?
inb4 pope-posting
>>83286857
What matters where you are born, what matters is what you have told, and you have told other countries shouldn't show off their culture and folklore.
>>83286467
>Anyway have you considered that not everyone want to see your culture? Keep it personal and in your house.
A message to all the hijabs and queers on my continent.
>>83284466
Green something lady looks cute
>>83287052
If we want this movie to get noticed by /co/, we have to take her to the drawthreads.
>>83286921
Not everyone in your country share your culture and not everyone want it to ve shoved on their faces.
>>83287654
Pretty much this.
The same goes for religion too. Here on Spain people don't walk around with crucifix everywhere, but on America you guys need to show that you are christians. Just keep it inside your houses.
>>83287966
>Here on Spain people don't walk around with crucifix everywhere,
That's just because the crypto jews finally took over your country, amigo.
>>83287966
Why so any eurpeans hate their own culture?
>>83288529
Because they're Germans.
Everyone else will defend theirs, even if they're embarrassed by some of it's parts.
>>83288818
Seems to be a french and a spanish.
>>83285103
Thread derailed, good job you fucking asshole.
Why so many retards reply to obvious bait?
>>83289748
Because it keep Bumping the thread make it possible that other people notice the movie in OP.
The thread would have been already on the archive if wasn't for the discussion. This is why I take te bait.
>>83284466
Could go either way.
Problem with new European animation studios (france not included obviously) is they focus purely on nice visuals and pushing their own cultural imagery but pick a really generic and unmemorable story to do it.
>>83284466
I really want this one to be good but the animation seems kinda lame. To me it seems like the boy wants to do an action but than suddendly stops because he's having Vietnam flashbacks.
>>83284466
I'm assuming there is going to be a version with Polish voice acting, which I hope to see. As I understand it the voice acting business there seems to be unusually large for a smaller country, with tons of games and movies getting official dubs. I'm definitely a subs fag, it always feels more authentic to listen to the original language rather than >insert british voices to evoke that this is a history movie
>>83291425
>As I understand it the voice acting business there seems to be unusually large for a smaller country
Eh, I dunno. You hear the same people all the time.
Maybe there's some new ones since I stopped watching dubbed things, but for the most part I can recognize the same VAs all the time.
