Florida a couple years ago tried to pass a law that would have imposed waiting periods and background checks on purchasing ammunition.
Connecticut recently proposed a law that would have required the state to print a publicly available record of all the names and home addresses of gun owners in the state.
Washington state officials a year ago tried to pass a law limiting the size of magazines for legal semi-automatic pistols and shotguns, which included a caveat allowing police to randomly search homes of registered gun owners to make sure they were complying with the new law.
