It was about these robotic(?) bugs (Tics mostly, IIRC) that lived inside computer chips, and kids used them to battle. There was even a tie-in game on their website.

It was this webseries on Youtube that was primarily 2D animation with a little 3D sometimes; short episodes, never more than 10 minutes. Was probably back in 2008/9/10.

This has been bothering me for literal YEARS. I have spent MONTHS ON END trying to find this shit. It's like it never existed.

pic unrelated.

Holy fuck you just brought me back.
The webseries was based on a downloadable online game, not the other way around if I recall correctly.

It was basically pokemon with some unique elements. I used to play it obsessively, I even still have the weird little electronic standalone toy, it played the same as the game, but I can't be assed to replace the batteries or find it.

The company folded and the game's been offline for some time now. You can still play the demo version on kongregate but it's underwhelming compared to what I can recall from the actual game.

Not OP, but thanks for this blast from the past.

Yeah I used to be big into the game when I was a kid. When I bought their little standalone toy, it broke, but they were good enough to send a free replacement when I (my parents) emailed them about it.

Real shame it died, I had lots of fun with it.
