Why is this cartoon so based?

Only season 1 was really good.

I was rewatching Courage 2 years ago, I'm currently 23, and I was still creeped by it. I really like this show, was my favorite as a kid.

The Four Horsemen always creeped me the fuck out. Almost every other episode treated its monsters comedically, but those four were always entirely serious and massacring for the sake of it. Only thing keeping it from being genuinely scary was the cast still being alive after their heads got cut off.
