Honestly we're lucky he's held onto his cognitive faculties this late in his life instead of having to go into a home because he can't remember where he is when he wakes up every morning. If he has children they should count themselves fortunate for that alone.
Alan Moore has been slowly accumulating occult power in a bid to take down the immortal Stan who has moved on from human victims and is now draining the life force of the comics industry itself. If Moore dies first, we know he lost and comics are doomed.

I have a theory about Stan. The three stages theory.
In the beginning you fucking love him! Holy shit, here's this cool grampa who is really enthusiastic about what he does, and is, lets face it, a fucking great salesman. You LOVE Stan Lee!
And then you hear about Kirby and Ditko, you've been reading comics for a while and you realise he's done very little of relevence since the early 1970's if you're generous. You hear about how Ditko and Kirby did all the work while Stan did fuck all and took all the credit. You don't want to seem like you're one of those uneducated people who blindly loves the money grabbing, fame stealing, credit snatching old coot. You fucking HATE Stan Lee.
And then the third phase is acceptance. You realise that he was, and still sort of is a great salesman. His personality is a big part of what really pushed Marvel into the stratosphere of pop culture in the 60's and 70'. Sure he took more than a bit too much credit, but you realise that actually he always spoke about the great work of the artists. Its not really his fault that everyone repeatedly called him the genuis who invented half of the superheroes you love for the past 50 years. That would go to anyones head. And to be fair, they are right to a degree, even if the roles of Ditko and Kirby and others are vastly CRIMINALLY undersold Stan did come up with early concepts and storylines even if he did palm the responsibility off later.
At the very least he isn't anywhere near as bad as Bob fucking Kane. That fucker literally had pic related as his gravestone.

I feel like Stan isn't really criminal, he's not innocent sure, but he always tried to give both Kirby and Ditko credit where its due.
But if its one thing that people needs to learn about companies is that, once you're a CEO, you've got act on a business point of view and you can't be easy on the people that you might even consider "friends".
