Why didn't they just make Kaijudo a YU-GI-OH clone like the franchise it spawned from? Duel Masters has 14 seasons, 3 movies and 58 volumes of manga, this got 2 seasons.

Because the card game died out, so they had to make due with using the monsters and settings.
It's getting a new show about the cards, though, though it isn't a cartoon like Kaijudo, it's another anime.

There's a million different reasons I can give, but it's the same goddamn song on a broken record
kaijudo tried to be subtle about the product placement but its failer is more based on the fact it aired on the hub more than anything
Kaijudo was great. Everyone else is wrong for not giving it a chance.

If Duel Masters really did have 14 seasons, they certainly didn't ever get a western release.
They never even bothered to give proper DVD releases for all the episodes they DID bring over.

Duel Masters was made when the monster card hype was high. Kaijudo arrived way too late when the whole "kids using monsters to fight" genre was all but dead with the exception of Pokemon

A damn shame, this was my favorite cartoon on Hub.
