Why is this show so bad. Even not looking at the old PPG it just sucks. So poorly written and paced. Like it's trying to be a shitty Gravity Falls.

Because it's severely inferior to the original show in every aspect. The animation is a severe downgrade, which is sad considering were comparing this to a show made a decade ago. The jokes are far worse, and the references are as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face. The morals they're trying to teach are inconsistent at best, dogshit at worst. The characters are somehow even more flanderized than TTGO! characters. They get rid of entire characters for no reason, while adding characters that bring almost nothing to the table themselves.
I can go on, I can really can, but I think you get the point. On its own, it's a bad show, made even worse compared to the original. It's the textbook definition of a soulless corporate cash-in.

It's precisely that it's harmless that sort of makes it bad. It's not impressive, but it's also not completely abhorrent, though some people will act like it is.
A lot of the show is kind of just there, while the original Powerpuff Girls was well paced enough that it flowed well. It's not nostalgia, just different values of production from the people making this now to the people making the first show.
Personally, I still think it's an alright show, animation's alright though not as ambitious, even the humor can garner a chuckle or two, but it all really falls short, especially compared to other shows currently on the same network.
For instance: in 5 or 10 years, I don't think this would be a show that has many or really any truly memorable moments, compared to the original series with a lot of those moments and episodes. People will remember that there was another Powerpuff Girls show, but beyond that, there isn't much to it.

That's what really bugs the fuck out of me.
The original Buttercup VA was so, so much better in that despite the husk in her voice, you can still tell she's very much a girl and has a hidden sweet side within her.
None of that shit is present with the awful PPG 2016 VA.
The other two fare somewhat better, but aren't as good as their predecessors.

Honestly, I think PPG 2016 is probably at greater risk of tainting the franchise's reputation among people.
No matter how shitty Ghostbusters 2016 is, the reputation of the first two movies (and the good seasons of the cartoon) are practically untouchable at this point in time.
PPG, however, has far more to lose than Ghostbusters, hence why I get angrier at this than the new Ghostbusters movie.
