What's the difference between Miguel and Peter in terms of personality in and out of the costume?

One is lame, other is based.
Costume is perfecton

Pretty much opposites. Pete is a snarky asshole in costume and Miguel a snarky asshole out of costume.

Miguel is way "edgier" because he was created in the 90's.
In addition he's way more actively a scientist then Peter was because he had access to more resources and better technology whereas Peter basically just had what he could make in a machine shop and chemistry set.
He's kind of more Harry Osborn then Peter at first; he had a LOT going for him and up until he became Spider-Man his life was set because he got to apply his intelligence and inventive genius in an environment that gave him the resources to do so. He's not selfish but he's self-absorbed and apparently had few close friends outside an AI he build for himself.
Initially after getting his powers much like Peter he acts selfishly, focused on finding a cure for his condition, but later he makes of himself a kind of Robin Hood figure actively fighting the huge megacorps of 2099 rather then just street crime and regular supervillains.

I always thought that was kinda funny.
In the costume Peter was given the confidence to act out however he wanted (though by his collage years in the late 60's Peter got awfully smartassed even OUT of costume), but Miguel was ALREADY a confident individual so he didn't need the anonymity to act out.

I always felt he was just like that because of the circumstances. In a way is the "Superior" Spider-man?

It was, yeah.
He was basically only edgy because it was the 90's and Generation X had no idea how to deal with the fact that they weren't gonna get to fight the Russians or whatever their problem was, same as every "new" 90's hero.
He isn't the "Superior" Spider-Man though. He's just a different one. He had to deal with different problems and different challenges then Peter did and was a very different person in most ways. Arguably Pete's most useful power (his Spider-Sense) is actually something Miguel didn't have any version of at all, instead having enhanced sight and smell instead.

>90's edgy arm spikes
>perfection

I like his powers. Seems like he and Spider-Woman would be attracted to each other seeing as their powers are genetic based.
