anyway the answer is because it's not old enough or rare enough. old rare-ass valuable comics were printed on shitty paper and most of them lost because nobody gave enough fucks to preserve them. kinda like classic websites from 12-16 years ago.. nobody thought that shit would matter later, and a lot of it's straight up solid gone

Ah it was a gradual abandonment I see.
They literally made quadrillions of them. The comic line started at a time when comics were still hot and every comic got a ridiculous print run.
Since I knew no one would collect them at the time I did buy 100 copies of Futurama #1 when it released. Someday hipsters will suck my cock for each one. I still buy all the Simpsons comics for enjoyment purposes. I know they're worthless.
