I can only speak for myself, but changing a character's race doesn't bother me as long as it's not integral to the character to be something other than what the actor looks like.
For example, the Craptastic 4 with black Johnny Storm would have been fine had Sue also been black; seeing as Torch and Invisible are the only two who can turn their powers off and on at will (Ben's always Thing, Reed's always stretchy) then it's something within the Storm DNA itself. So making one adopted (that is what it was, right?) makes no sense.

I honestly don't give a shit about the ethnicity of actors in Hollywood productions (so long as the ethnicity isn't an integral part of their character, a Chinese Shaft or a black Snow White would upset me quite a bit); I just dislike that minorities are complaining that this lack of representation is some sort of malicious conspiracy/racism when it's really just pretty fucking basic market research.
