That's really the sad thing. DC feels the need to take inspiration to some of their WORSE storylines. I mean Dark Knight Returns has some GREAT moments but DC loves taking that out over and over again that it's becomes boring. Injustice is a fun ride but at no point anyone should use it as a base for any real story telling. And Death of Superman and follow up might be one of the worse storylines in comic history (Maybe OMD wins out but nothing about Death of Superman was actually interesting).

I think they will start doing crazy things. Mostly because now it's mostly not as well known heroes taking the show they have to embrace some craziness to make people interested in that. Also it seem cosmic is being a much more bigger deal which opens so many things. As I said they could very well just keep up the same action scenes like always but I do feel even they know they will need to add a bit more spice to keep people going. The Doomsday fight was a boring CGI fest. Sometimes less is more and that scene was a good example of it and it was just another excuse for Zack to have explosions. Luthor was.....shit I like Jesse and I don't mind hammy Lex, but that pee jar thing and the party scene was just fucking weird. Now the Supes thing I can get because I liked seeing a polarizing response to Supes after the events in MoS, but the way he went about it was just messy and rushed as fuck. If BvS was about Supes just doing superheroic shit I would back the movie 100%, the Doomsday stuff wasn't necessary at all.
The Martha thing, I'm torn on, like I get the point of it but the way it was done was, again, weird and just awkward. However I don't understand how it became this big joke online. It's silly but not that silly.
