Lazy bait or not, the largest animal anthropomorphization tradition comes from cartoons, anon. It was a simple, very effective and visually interesting way of conveying character traits without the need of exposition (in a way Zootopia uses that idea as a -negative- starting point)
There's this odd trend of forgetting the (literally) decades of precedents that came before it became mostly about wanting to fuck Gadget
>>82670076
>this odd trend of forgetting the decades of precedents
Remember the trailers? Zootopia basically was pitched to audiences as if "different animals evolve and form a society" was the greatest, most original high concept ever conceived. That WAS pretty odd
>>82670184
Yeah, I remember this kinda weirding me out when I first heart about the movie.

>>82670554
>>82670184
Yeah, that to me is what makes this film a truly 'furry pandering' movie is the emphasis they put on it.
Also that so many people fell in love with Judy and smugfox (myself included) only adds to that.
>>82668289
When they rut...yanno..

I'm redrawing face of my retarded military Nick. I feel weeks of practice had finally paid off - he now looks extra retarded.
>>82672943
Look forward to seeing the finished picture
Well, I'm pretty happy with this as pretty much the final image. Changed the eye area slightly and made the ears fall a bit forward. Might change the right arm before I go for a proper 1440p render, but that should be it for now.
Really hope that nothing crops up on the 1440p image that I couldn't see on these low-res ones
>>82674337
If she is laughing, play around with the tilt of the head. Also with the orientation of the ears, relax them a bit. Cheeks should go up and close the eyesockets a bit. Play a bit with the position of the camera, front view is a bit boring for this shot. Play a bit with the eyebrows position, make them go down closing the eyesocket a bit.
>>82674628
Ahah, feedback! The head is actually tilted slightly, but I understand what you mean and I could emphasise it slightly more with the camera. I'll give the eye and cheek stuff a go now and see how it looks.
For reference, I'm trying to recreate pic related (no particular reason why) so I'm probably going to stick with the front view. I'll have the Blender file saved tho, so there's no reason I can't go back to it and try out new camera positions.
>>82667996
I can imagine you could pretty tweaked out in small doses, like about a drop.
Anything bigger then that would probably cause them to kill each other.
>>82674754
Oh I didnt knew you were recreating. In the picture you can see his eyebrows are furrowed. There are also things that the 3d model cannot recreate, like he wrinkles next to the nose and the cheeks. Thats a limitation you have to work around.
In any case, I believe exageration is key for toon stuff. Copying 1:1 will get you so far. Judy is cartoony, take advantage of that and find you way around communicating the pose without copyin it exactly.

>>82675493Little check-box next to "chose file" that says "Spoiler?"
>>82675058
Yeah, I know that I'm not going to get too close to an exact replica, but I'm just going for the general pose and shape of the face. I want to add some stuff to this model, but obviously I need to learn quite a bit of Blender to be able to do so, which is why it'll have to wait until after my exams in late May/early June.
Mhm, I'll try and take that approach from now on. Thanks a lot for the advice.
>>82675118
No probs. He certainly does look like a bit of a retard tb͏h. I can't draw for shit so I can't really give any proper advice, but it looks pretty good- maybe change the mouth area slightly?
No offense but neither animal society nor furrie pandering are special. Zootopia is just better developed but the two ideas were always pursued
>>82668289
Let me explain to you how deer sex works.
Around the full moon in autumn, all of the bucks get rapey, which scientists call going into "rut". They then chase all of the does around the woods trying to mate with them. This goes on for days since the does don't want any part of it, until finally they give up and get it over with. They let the bucks hump them for a few seconds just so afterwards they can have a minute of peace before the chase starts up again.

Agreed but it's also because furry is more developed now than before. As I said its more developed not unique
>>82675919
Just because something is lauded by furries, does not mean the thing they're lauding is furry.
>a definition means furry-loving
>OMG that woman in frozen has high heels thats my fetish they made this film for horny men! (plus him 'naked' isn't remotely sexual)

>back up dancers exist
>anons turn gay for anything
>Robin Hood is a good film I wasn't even aware it was a furry magnet since yesterday on /co/
>ever thought it may be because the majority of the tweets directed at him are furries?
It's a kids film first and foremost - perhaps a couple of people working on it gave a nod to furfags in promoting etc. but the actual film only has 1 bum shot and its in the credits the rest has no sexualization at all apart from 1/2 pun(s) about multiplying
>>82676302
>since yesterday on /co/
Took that long?
>>82676352
It's showing Robin Hood & maid Marion love eachother - I don't see how this is remotely sexual or furry bait? Perhaps its just cos I'm not into that but I see that as an innocent prince/princess moment
>>82675908
LOL!
That's true, you gotta wear the ladies down. Never ever let a woman use sex for power.
>>82676394

Yeah, that trailer was dumb, and it really turned me off from the movie and I had zero intention of watching it until I saw all of the /co/ threads saying it was good.
It was just a stupid marketing decision. Bryon obviously doesn't believe that he's breaking new ground here by writing a movie about anthropomorphic animals. On the contrary, he seems to have a lot of respect for his predecessors and tells everyone where he got his influences from.

working off this assumption than the movie happens in the distant future.
perhaps the reason their are walking talking animals in the first place is that we (being the know vanished humans) were tampering with genetic manipulation. that would explain why they are able to easily go from walking on two legs too all fours without a problem. the panther when from bipedal to quadruped without a problem if a human tried to run on all fours it would not work out well.
>>82674784
>>82679557
50/50
Even without one billion score zootopia is a winner, it beat all original movies without any kind of serious promotion(except Frozen, but fuck Frozen)
it won our hears, Money is just a bonus
>>82684986
it would also explain why we never see other animal groups in zootopia. think of the military value of having a bipedal bear solder with a better sense of smell, strength, and stamina. it would be a veritable gold mine.

so mankind wipes its self out or to near extinction leaving, the genetically augmented mammals to do whatever they please. now for what I hope are clear reason the founding animal generation decided to hid the fact that they only exist because humanity needed better solders and works. to keep this secret they destroyed any evidence of mankind's existence and created a false history closely mirroring our own.

Two-pass ffmpeg it. Figure out the exact bitrate you need by taking 25165824 (the number of bits in 3MB) and divide it by the number of seconds the clip takes. Here's the batch file I use in Windows:
ffmpeg -y -i %1 -c:v libvpx -preset veryslow -b:v %3 -pass 1 -an -f webm -y NUL
ffmpeg -i %1 -c:v libvpx -preset veryslow -b:v %3 -pass 2 -b:a 64k -f webm -y %2
