I remember Jhonen and the other guys working on the show mentioning some of this stuff in the dvd commentary.
Felt like this one had more variety of jokes than the previous issues, which is nice. The earlier issues felt like IZ trying too hard to imitate itself, but this issue feels a bit more confident and covered some broader stuff. That's cool.
But man, I'm pretty tired of these wacky rounded mouths. They're all over the comics, and they're pretty ugly (not in a fun grotesque way, just an unappealing way) & really repetitive to look at.
