I have an idea for a Daredevil-centric Marvel Event:
It's a trial in New York city where a dangerous black supervillain was killed by his two sons. Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters are called in as defence attorneys for these two kids.
However, things go ugly as the trial has divided the superhero, mutant and inhuman communities, with one side saying that these kids deserved to be acquitted and the other saying these kids could be potential supervillains.
Both Daredevil and She-Hulk are being scrutinized by other superheroes and vigilantes for defending a potential supervillain. Things get uglier as the third defence attorney is a famous lawyer known for pulling the race card, causing prosecution supporters like Tony Stark to be branded as racist.
Meanwhile, Jessica Jones (official investigator for the defending team) discovered new clues at the crime scene while Spiderman is hired to find a potential witness: Frank Castle. However, Punisher has gone missing outside New York and his testimony could prove the guilt or innocence of these two kids.
I based this idea from the Menendez Brothers case. Would you read it?

I disagree. I saw tons of praise for Yost's Superior Spider-man which not only was incredibly bland, but also far too actually heroic.
Slott played Spock as this obvious supervillain who was playing superhero. Using villain methods like hiring henchmen, believing himself morally superior, and very hammy. It was obvious he was going to fall at some point and that was part of the fun. Shame for the incredibly terrible and anti-climatic ending for the arc, but Amazing Spider-man 2 was going to be on theaters I guess.

I like Max Landis. He's cocky and brash and arrogant but I think most of that comes from sheer enthusiasm for things that he likes.
Whether or not you like his writing, you can't deny he's prolific as fuck. He's always got ideas going on, whether they are good ones or bad ones. He's a bloke who obviously spends a fuckton of time thinkng about characters and their worlds and I think his enthusiasm gets the better of him when he's talking to people who either clearly know little to fuck all about said character or their world, or just plain haven't invested as much time thinking about it.

I liked Millar's Civil War. I read every tie-ins, the whole 100 issues, and while there was some stuff that wasn't very good, I liked the overall event.
I am salty as fuck that BvS got pulverized by critics in a very exaggerate way that the movie didn't deserve.
Incidentally, I am also salty that I went to see Civil War two times already and it was great. The only thing I can hope for now is that they don't fuck up Justice League.
