I'm bored and since no one wants Hickman I'm doing Seaguy this week
if anyone has a link to Hickman's SHIELD to download I'd appreciate it. I want to storytime all of his Marvel stuff, but I can't find it
Give a bump if you are reading.
I have a confession to makewhen I was storytiming JMS Spidey whenever my net went out it was really me falling asleep on accident
So did you just stop the JMS storytime once you finished Back in Black? I wouldn't blame you in the slightest for not doing OMD, but I wasn't sure if I just missed it or something.

Anon JMS storytime isn't completed yet, is it? I have to catch up on it.
That was weird. I was missing a page.

Are you planning on doing Joe the Barbarian? I'm not interested in Seaguy because I heard it's not complete. Thanks anyway anon.
Anons, do think we can use storytime meme Mmgic to finally get Seaguy Eternal?

Are you the guy who was going to do the SHIELD and Hickman FF storytime? I was looking forward to those. Seaguy is great too though.
When will Stewart get off of tumblr and make Eternal happen?

Did the storyteller die?

This was a pretty cool story that he managed to fit into this one. Like a slightly more crass fairy tale.
Is there any reason why volume 3 hasn't come out?
Lost track of time. We continue!

I am, but I cannot find SHIELD and the Secret Warriors guy never storytimed it
That's all folks
Any word of the final volume? Last news I heard was 2013 and it sounded like they already had the script finalized.

Bump
I have to admit, I feel like I'm missing quite a bit with this one. There's a lot of themes that I can see but I'm not sure if I'm reading them right, especially because it seems very atypical of Morrison.
Seaguy reminds me of Plastic Man-esque characters that have their comedy baggage removed when they become "real" superheroes, what with Seaguy eventually completely internalizing Chubby's persona. Seadog's logo reminds me an awful lot of Blackhawk's, too, but I'm wary of reading anything into. On the surface of the story you've got your "Twilight of the Superheroes" thing, and you've got a very upfront statement about modern society, media, consumerism, and all that.
Then you've got the main character being without want while wanting to follow in the shadow of people that don't exist, and a whole Metamorphosis-esqe relationship with a father figure.
The ending particularly struck me as a bit of a downer compared to normal Morrison fare- there's no rousing victory that points to the greatness of man, because any victory is co-opted by the "villain." Instead his victory is a smaller, personal one through getting the girl. Then again, "set your sights lower because you can't win" is not a typical Morrison message, which makes me think the whole thing could also have been about identifying what you really want. The whole book makes a big show of Seaguy always mentioning that he's doing everything so She-beard will notice him.
And I'm completely lost on what "AM DEK UM GUM" is supposed to mean. I feel like it should be something that makes sense if you say it out loud, but it might also be a reference I'm not getting (or both.)
I'd really like to hear any official statements, or see what other people's are. Morrison's one of those where if you've not read the same source material as he did you're always going to come in completely off-base.
Is this Grant's attempt to one-up Tom Strong?
