I cannot stomach the art style. My god everyone in there is so ugly or very disturbing to look at...
I like the premise of a demon dog,but the humor is less than desirable. Especially if the humor has continuous bodily waste jokes.

Honestly, it's not that much edgier than Superjail or even Metalocalypse in terms of people getting slaughtered. If at all.
I think part of it is the idea that it got approved compared to other superior pilots, and the rumor that they almost passed on Rick & Morty in favor of it (kinda like the rumors that Tim & Eric got the money earmarked for more Home Movies and/or anime; and to be fair, if I had to judge R&M based on the 'lick my balls' shorts, I would have too.)
It's got some unique characters and some of the plots are halfway clever. I can't blame anybody for not liking it, but it's hardly irredeemable as popular opinion seems to be.
Adult Swim is a cancer destroying animation and the faster it goes away, the better.

The humor wreaks of someone trying to poke fun at society and falling so far short of their intent that they flood it with blood and gore just so idiots will watch it.
I watched up to the episode where the mum gets gang banged at the football game and it was terrible. I don't have a big enough vocabulary to properly articulate how bad this series is and science dictates we probably never will. This is the kind of low brow shit that the kid in high school who wears second hand clothes and watches anime high would tell you to check out on youtube.

The problem is that it's aggressively mediocre. It doesn't shine enough at any point to be watchable. There are other shows that do gore porn much better, and it's not even that nice to look at when it's not gory because every character is ugly as sin and boring as shit. The main character especially, every time he talks I wanna break his leg braces.
Not to mention Mr. Pickles himself is an invincible Satan dog that solves all the shows problems by murdering/torturing them like it's some middle schooler's edgy revenge fanfiction.
The reason /co/ is up in arms is because it just didn't need to be renewed by any means.

There's no humor. I don't mean, "there's no humor besides shock humor," but that'd be giving it too much credit. There are half-assed shocks (le ABORTION meme), but they don't fucking go anywhere with any of it. Everything can be taken at face value, and there's nothing clever. Every fucking "joke" is spelled out so directly that there's no room to even consider laughing.
Also, the animation is shit. The reason Superjail's ultraviolence segments work is because you get lost in how visually pleasing and genuinely disturbing it is. But Mr Pickles is ugly in a way that just makes you want to not watch it.
The question might as well be, "why don't you like Garbage Pail Kids? They are El Gross!!"
