Spades Slick? What Spades Slick?

Indeed, I really think Hussie let some of that mushy tumblr nonsense effect himself. The narrative constantly tries to make it out as if Caliborn is a loser and a fool for persisting in his session, but that's just not how humans work. It's awesome that he's successfully denying pernicious naysayers, recruiting a cool army (that happens to be beloved in any case) and earns his damn reward regardless. Rather poorly thought out.
>>82298606
It's supposed to be an owl giving two middle fingers. Think like Caliborn's tumut emoticon.
Would you guys be okay with Hussie confirming out of the blue that PS and co. are Prospitians?

Imagine if Karkat didn't wind up being a piece of shit before Game Over and was actually important to the lore.
Caliborn, as part of his evolution as an artist during A66A3, made subtle shifts in the A2 session as Doc Scratch so that Karkat fucked up the ectobiology, changing him from a limeblood to a redblood.
Karkat has a moment where Caliborn messages him (after Kanaya does the smart thing and holds Karkat back from running into his death) and tries to get him to appreciate him for all the "good" he's done in his life, trying to compare himself to Karkat.
Karkat tells Caliborn to fuck off, rallies the troops, and takes control over his own fucking destiny.
>>82299573
It is because cherubs aren't supposed to be social creatures, so getting high, blazing forward, blowing shit up, and ignoring all your problems really will solve everything in a cherub's life. Or to rephrase it, it worked for the Alpha kids the way it was supposed to, but Calliope didn't realize that what it was supposed to do is basically harmful to humans.

Didn't you get the memo? Only one version of Tavros is allowed to be happy and no Nepeta is ever allowed to be remotely important.
But seriously, yeah. Hussie was either:
1. Being incompetent as hell (unlikely)
2. Too depressed to care
3. Attempting to piss off as many readers as possible
4. Trying to get some kind of weird meta point across about how things don't necessarily have to make sense or be satisfying or whatever
5. Getting off to his anticlimax fetish
That, or 6. he had a plan for GCATavros and Davepeta that specifically involved them being these exact combinations. And then he dropped it.

I get the feeling you're talking about a post of mine, where I detailed that every character who had a relationship with Caliborn had a negative one except for Jake and Dirk. This is not quite the same thing as "characters who have conversed with Caliborn". In addition, character was contextually referring to players of the games, rather than constructs. Lastly, Crowbar's personability doesn't necessarily mean he like Caliborn, just that he knows how to manage him. Just had to clear that up.

HST I need your help.
I'm trying to plan out a Fan Adventure, but the plot has it going through multiple timelines/paths where each character's actions affect the rest. So say Char 'A' is introduced first in the story, later when you read B-E they'll storylines will be altered by A's actions, and C-E by B's, and so on.
The problem is it's a clusterfuck to organize in my mind. Between 5 different planets, prospit and Derse and giving them a comprehensible path I don't know how to organize this. I was thinking a convoluted diagram like the Felt ones or like OP's >>82298747 but I don't want to be crisscrossing arrows left and right.
How the fuck do I keep track of this?

Doing something similar here. It helps if you have full plot in mind first. Don't use a diagram; hold the story in your mind as much as possible. Follow each character's path seperately, and leave lots of open ends to tie up later.

>>82300584old enough
>>82299229
I have the story laid out, and a bunch of different paths and storyline in sorta story format. It's just hard to keep track of the changes and what relates to what.
Like have you ever played fallout? It's like that, but with 5 different players whose decisions affect each other on top of their own decisions.
>>82300465
If you could that'd be amazing.
The most difficult thing is when you're playing through the original timelines they'll sort of 'unset', as in no retcons or affects from each other. But as you move on to the other characters and storylines, you start to see how the previous ones affected them.Maybe a google doc could help? It's really complicated and I'm having trouble with it. Do you just kind of hang around these threads a lot casually?

>>82298949
I unironically consider Caliborn the main character of the story.

>>82300466
evangelion's ending, the ending we got from End of Evangelion, was fucking fantastic
it was weird and confusing but it was also intense and terrifying, and ties everything up with certain finality
but of course Evangelion was a very different kind of story
>>82300687
we see imps and ogres as the only enemies climbing houses even when they're heavily built up though, probably because "who cares what kind of enemies there are just paste the two we saw a bunch"
>>82300721
depends on who the ghostwriter is, of course
there's a lot of Hussie's fans that would love to see Dave discuss his newfound gender issues at length
>>82300431
Well for starters how many timelines? Obviously 5 timelines is going to be a fucking clusterfuck.
More importantly, are these 5 instances of the same Session, or is it like Troll shenanigans where you have 2 independent timelines looking at each other?
A troll situation would be the best possible fit.
Now just color each timeline distinctly. Mark, but don't draw arrows to, every point where 1 timeline impacts the other, numbering it in the order of canon. Now create a separate document or spreadsheet, noting on this new list how many interactions this universe has made, which interaction the connecting universe is making, and the corresponding numbers for those involved, with a short description.
So if this is John from Universe A having the 3rd UA interaction with Dave from Universe C making the 2nd UC interaction, and it's the 5th interaction in the story, then there'd be a C colored blimp on the Universe A timeline, and in the doc/spreadsheet there'd be:
> # 5 | 3 (rd Universe A interaction chronologically)|2 (nd Universe B interaction chronologically): John has his 1st conversation with Dave, Dave has his 3rd conversation with John.
It'll be a clusterfuck, but it'll be a manageable clusterfuck.
>>82300730
Likewise.
>>82300389
>Trolls
You might have made a mistake in your list.
Otherwise, yeah. SBURB was the most fascinating part of Homestuck, and it got shafted in favor of character-centric drama... drama which never got any resolution in the end.
What an unfathomable waste.
At least we'll always have The Overseer Project, as meager a consolation as it might be.
Not to mention, people will learn from Hussie's mistakes and his genius, and take inspiration from SBURB.
And in six years or so, another author will come up with a story setting this fascinating again.
Or maybe in six years or so I'll have started and finished my SBURB fangame. Who knows, an anon can dream.

>>82300966
Wow, same
Except I ended up loving the game.
>>82300837
Well okay it's at minimum 5 because the premise is something basically Insane. The 5 are all in doomed Timelines where, in each timeline, only one of them went through.
Yet, within these 5 separate ones they all made it, just not together. They basically find a way to contact and reach out to each other, figuring since their version of the others is dead, these 5 mights as well stick together.
It's 5 of the same session played on Impossible Mode (1/5 players) x5 over, by each of the characters.
The idea was basically, just like with the Scratch and Troll-Meteor plan, the kids are trying to figure out some overly powerful and complex way to meet each other even separated the way they are, and maybe bring about some sort of improvement. Obviously Dream Bubbles are a huge help, but they don't all want to die of course.
Making things more complicated is the way they can affect each other (Pseudo Classpect magic+via a newly introduced fan-mechanism in Sburb. If the Scratch is a game Reset, think of this as a game Pause), it affects the reality of the their timelines so they have to sync up the changes and keep 'notes' while paused so they can figure what's changed and different and what to actually look for, less the retconny things make each affect/communication meaningless.

I think the thing that should give you hope for Homestuck is that the Problem Sleuth epilogue came late and resolved everything in a satisfying way.
>>82302495
You know it's not the same thing. Caliborn's banter with Hussie's overindulgent self-insert shenanigans is closer. Honestly, there's no good reason why Scratch shouldn't have had Andrew's role in Caliborn's session.
>>82301682
This chart is weird. How am I supposed to compare how much Karkat spoke with how much Dave and the rest spoke?
>>82302515
It came six days later. Hussie isn't even seriously considering lifting a finger to make this epilogue happen right now. He's completely checked out.

Oh happy damn days, /tg/ is useable!
>>82302679
Who knows. This is what it'd look like if Hussie drew them.
>>82302744

>>82302648
>jade talked so much
>still no development.
>>82302855
fucking finally, quest threads and magical realm discussion were the biggest problems on that board and have been killing it for years
>>82302871
Hussie seems so full of life and rambunctious fervor in the old days. He looks healthy and spirited. I feel bad for what we did to him, but at least he's ripped now. Maybe he'll turn out okay.
>>82302483
First of all being the Horse Hitcher. Then there's the exiles of Earth - WV is a pawn, AR is a castle and PM a knight. Heck, you can even step the game up and apply it to the Felt, with Scratch and Snowman as King and Queen.
I reckoned folks had noticed that Deuce was a pawn however. Small yet powerful if he gets in your backfield.

>>82302582
God I would've loved for Caliborn to just once interact with Scratch or LE. Or LE to have had more than one monologue/conversation in the comic.Or for Scratch to be the ultimate mastermind who counter-possesses English and becomes the final boss as Lord Scratch
>>82302422
I was always under the impression that all of the humanoid carapacians sans the royalty were meant to be pawns, with the horrific castle-like and horse-headed monsters on the Battlefield being the rooks, knights, etc.
>>82303058
All of these things would have been golden.
>>82302871
>>82302926
Double word. Hussie's depiction of Cindy is legit nice incidentally, although I can't tell if his seldepiction is more accurate/flattering this one here.
>>82302999
but then PM has the symbolism of a pawn that advances all the way and becomes a queen.
Yo dudes check out these gifs.

>>82303059
Yes and no really. While there are specifically-bred pieces that have more to do with literal animals and structures, as well as the prototyping built into them, than the norm, the regular pieces also clearly reflect certain roles in their builds and personalities. Every Derse comes with the king, queen and four prime agents. It would make sense that these agents complete the back rank of the chess set, as well as their own murky undercurrent of playing cards. And likewise, for the Prospitian prime agency to be composed of the eternal distracted/absent pawn (AD), castle (MK, corrupt), bishop (PI) and knight (PS).
>>82303287
is it like a parody of some anime thing?
>>82303087
Ideally the Scratch conversation would occur on the Black Planet. Scratch might even *be* that planet's cueball, requiring him to be sacrificed while Caliborn contends with omniscient manouvres and first guardian power.
Ah, what may have been.
>>82302790
We never saw a second Arquiusprite, but considering how up in the air the whole Masterpiece's chronology is, I wouldn't be awfully surprised if it was an alternate or Pre-GO Arquisprite involved in it.
>>82303312
I do like the way you think. I always wanted Prospit Sleuth.
>>82303344
Kekkai Sensen, yeah.
>>82303227
True, and I remember seeing an infographic that expounds upon this. But the same is true of Noir's manouvring to usurp the Queen in every session, and the duelling knights symbolism of the two Goddogs is too rich to pass up.
I feel bad for Hussie. He's obviously not passionate about Homestuck anymore but it was his big thing and now he's stuck writing an epilogue and trying to find ways to keep making money off of it
>>82303405
I remember, way back when Act 6 started, we had high hopes that PS would be Jane's exile. Oh how wrong we were to dream it.

I'm sort of hoping that "head writer" just means he's head of doing all the superfluous grunt work, and all the important shit is being done by the big man himself.
Because if Hussie winds up taking a managerial position on his own fucking project I'm going to flip my shit.
>>82303984

>>82303984
>I'm sort of hoping that "head writer" just means he's head of doing all the superfluous grunt work, and all the important shit is being done by the big man himself.

>>82304032
God fucking dammit. I really, really hope that against all common sense this is fake.
Plot is literally Hussie's worst aspect, and now he's leaving some unknown to write the dialogue and background text, the heart and soul of his work.

>>82304082
This is what you all paid for, along with the ruination and drawing out of the comic itself.
>>82304082
Yeah, it's actually really bad if there is actually as little Hussie involved as implied. Having him be the head writer doesn't necessarily mean Hussie won't be writing anything, but I wouldn't count on feeling much Hussie in the dialogue.
remember that guy/gal that got laid off from WP last year or so and posted something on their tumblr along the lines of
>if you don't know how your story ends, you're doing something wrong
>>82304057
Nope, not happening, that would imply something interesting in this game
Why did Condy get a bonus omnipower tiara out of nowhere in ONLY the second version of the second universe?
>>82304170
man I'm so confused
I wanted to give Hussie the benefit of the doubt on Homestuck because I figured hey, he must be busy with the game
But if he's not actually working on the game then what the hell is he doing
>>82304188
link this juice
>>82303922
Hussie is best writing dialogue, jokes and world building. He clearly has trouble planning out full story arcs and keeping his shit focused on an end goal. It's a good thing someone else is taking the reigns on the big picture. That way hussie can focus on what he does best. Obviously it will still be his artistic vision.
>>82304222
I believe he is working on the game, but it's mostly the more macro stuff involved in getting it done. Perhaps Hussie would have been able to focus on the writing etc. more if he hadn't had to make his own studio for the game.
>>82304209Something happened in the B1 universe that we didn't see which prevented her rise.Episode 2 of this awful game is going to get a DOGSHIT ending I swear.

>>82304343
I doubt even Hussie knows what's going on at this point.
>>82304223
the posts were took down in like 7 hours or so. there were caps floating around here but I seriously can't find anything, I can only find the layoff notices rather than the personal posts
I just started looking at this Hiveswap shit, and is that Mom? Is Grandpa in this? Is Jude related to Jade?
>>82304311
I feel like he doesn't actually know what his fans like anymore. I really don't know what he's trying to accomplish with Hiveswap at all.
>>82304254
But that's literally the implication that other people are sending. That Hussie is doing the grand scale planning and this new guy is doing the dialogue and jokes.
Of course this is /hsg/, and all we have are a few Tumblr pages from people saying they're on the game and a brief crew list from the site itself, so eh.
>>82304444
Joey and Jude are old-fashioned kids that Grandpa-Jake with some Claire woman. Presumably given the timeline we know so far that IS a young version of Rose's Mom babysitting them.
>>82304444
That is a young Mom Lalonde. Jude and Jade are another set of children from Grandpa Harley and directly related to John and Jade.
Reminder that Hussie had originally stated the game would have nothing to do with the main comic and not involve trolls at all. It now directly revolves around nothing but trolls and the player characters are relatives of the comic's main characters.
>>82304444
Yes, yes, and yes.
>>82304444
Checked
>>82304444
That's Mom Lalonde from B1. This is the 90s, the timeframe fits.
We don't know if Grandpa Harley is in this, though we know that Joey and Jude (those dorks in the picture other than Mom Lalonde) are related, and Jude is a Harley. Chances are that they're the direct children or the grandchildren of B1 Jake.
>>82304444
Wait, hiveswap takes place two years before the beta kids arrive as babies on meteors, right? How old is Mom in this picture? I hope at least 16.
>>82304504
>Jake canonically had sex
>all those phrases he shouted after Aranea powered him up are what he yells during sex
This is worse than Goofy's canonical sex and the implied noises involved
My guess is that Hiveswap has been completely abandoned at this point and Hussie screws over everyone that paid for the kickstarter and gets away scott free.
What if B1 Grandpa boned the young foxy Mom Lalonde?
>>82304508
That's pretty dumb. He probably realized that the game was going to be shit so he made it tie into the comic as much as possible to get fans to buy it.
I hope, really hope hiveswap doesn't bomb. Everything has been a clusterfuck for a good 5 years now, and something, ANYTHING, just one good thing needs to happen.
>>82304508
Will Dad be in it? Will he have a face? Is Jude the son of Nanna? Why didn't he raise Jade?
>>82304582
>knight
i don't like it
>>82304626
The switch to 2D and Hussie being inspired by Broken Age (probably the shittiest text-based adventure to date that has nearly zero gameplay and no focus on puzzles) AND making it episodic, I don't understand how anyone could have any hope for it at this point.
>>82304582
At this point I've basically lost all excitement for Hiveswap. I paid $200 into that kickstarter and now it doesn't even matter to me whether the game comes out or not. The ONLY reason I supported the kickstarter is because it had Hussie's name on it, and at the time he had a great work ethic and produced high quality work.
>>82304626
Hiveswap deserves to bomb harder than anything else. Hiveswap is the reason Homestuck went off the deep end and died in flames. It would be the only just outcome. Vriska's hubris will never be punished, but Hussie's sure will.
>>82304602
It's not really tied into the comic. Joey and Jude are just a small allusion to one part of the comic, and maybe if Hiveswap isn't shit (still possible, though less likely now) he'll make a sequel focusing on the B1 guardians.
Everything else is taking place in an Alternia too young to have Ancestor talk and too old to have serious A2 troll talk. It's also implied to be a sort of counterpart to modern day 2016.
>>82304599
No don't be gross. He barely managed to get two out before he turned 70-ish, and Roxy is clearly a teenager in this photo. Also all he thinks about is conquest so he's too busy out doing the shit he had to hire the babysitter for in the first place to bone his babysitter.
>>82304688
>making it episodic

That makes it MORE likely he's fucked Roxy "loves older men and men who look like Jake" Lalonde.
>>82304712
As much as I hate Hiveswap for ruining the comic, it's also the only hope we have of ever having Hussie make anything again. If this shit bombs he might just say "fuck it" and quit, and as much as I hate Hussie for being a hack he can be a good writer when he actually gives a shit.

>>82304983
>>82304576
I can't remember when exactly Hiveswap occurs outside of the general vague mid-90's. Nor can I remember the ages of Joey and Jude in the game. However, Mom and Bro would've most ideally arrived around 1970 to fit best with known events in comic.
Young Mom here must be somewhere between 13 and 16, which puts the moment in the picture around 1983-1986. Assuming Joey and Jude are 13 in Hiveswap, this puts the pair of them in the age ranges of ...0-5 years old. Hrmm. Maybe the two of them are older than 13 or something, I don't know.

I wouldn't go that far, but they've certainly been an influence on him. Hussie's changed a lot over the course of the comic. He seemed to genuinely fall in love with the Act 5/shipper/Kickstarter audience, but became disenfranchised over the course of Act 6. Softowl is very much a textbook tumblrite, and he entered and exited a relationship with her that practically bookended this whole affair.

Remember when Meenah was as ruthless as any Alternian without influences to the contrary, Damara could be tipped into permanent homocidality and Cronus and Kurloz were both controlling and manipulative?
Remember the tabula rasa fallacy was just that, and pinning huge traits on social changes was bad writing?I'm being harsh here but trolls clearly have innate psychotic tendencies that need expressal and attendance through quadrants, just because Scratch/English/the Handmaid fostered violence doesn't mean any of the genetically-unaltered troll characters were innately more or less so
>>82306018
Or that time that Kankri strongly implied how fucked up the treatment of mutants was.
Or that time that it turned out that Aranea was a murderous sociopath the whole time and she just needed a good motivation and an outlet for her inner desires
Or the fact that it's even possible to drive someone else to such a brink of insanity that they're willing to kill, either Meenah was fucking Jigsaw or both Damara and Meenah were at least a little mentally unstable from the start
If anything the peaceful Beforus society was because of Feferi's exerted influence. Even if trolls aren't as murderous as Alternian culture implies, they also don't have those same callings towards peace as humans, at least not in the same way.
>>82306018
Meenah fully planned to.
They were peaceful because they were ruled by Feferi.
>>82306105
my headcanon is that Beforan society was on the path to being a slightly better Alternia before Karkat (a.k.a. the Troll Moses) and his friends led a peaceful revolution that resulted in the peaceful Beforus we got.
>>82306142
A few incidents of particularly fucked up and powerful people doesn't suddenly make the entire race a ravenous bloodthirsty mob.
what was beforus eri like?
>>82306142
>either Meenah was fucking Jigsaw
Meenah did say that Lord English was hot.
>>82306105
>Grub Kindergarten is a cakewalk compared to the caves and trials
>Grubs still manage to die with enough frequency to keep a running meat/pigment-based industry going because they're just dumb as hell
>>82306105
>>82306215
So I guess this just proves that trolls are particularly prone to political or divine manipulation.
>>82306270
Uh, let's see, before Aradia would have been an archaeologist, because that's the one trait Aradia had that the Handmaid didn't, so...Eridan is a military leader? Dualscar was a pirate and Cronus used to be a wizard.
>>82306270
Probably a huge beta
>>82306248
Interesting, a nice spin on the Vantas-as-prophet theme. However, I like to keep evenness with the depictions of Ancestors and their relations. The Disciple was more or less Meulin, so A1 Nepeta would likewise be herself, however Orphaner Dualscar was plainly more like Eridan so A1 Eridan would be more like Cronus, as some kind of minstrel or whatever. So given that the Sufferer and Kankri are both preachers, I like the idea that Karkat's ancestor-self was some kind of warrior, in the Beforan equivalent of the Threshecutioners after all. Perhaps even the Empress's bodyguard. And lover.
>>82306294
You're making a common but huge mistake.
Grubs are not larval trolls. Grubs are just mindless insect larvae. Look at Sollux's game grubs. Those are grubsauce grubs.
Troll larvae are called wigglers.
>>82306262
It's not that they're fucked up, it's how they're fucked up. They aren't fucked up in the way that humans can be fucked up, they're fucked up in a uniquely troll way, one that resembles Alternia.
Basically, even if B2 Earth was run like Alternia people wouldn't wind up like trolls. Christ they have an entire quadrant based around hatefucking, and another quadrant based around keeping people from hatefucking too often.
>>82306270
Military leader in the old guard, begrudgingly joined the revolution because he wanted to bone Feferi.
>>82306384
Fair enough. Although I would've liked to see Hussie give us even a tiny bit about the A1 ancestors, I get that they're so irrelevant and it's easier to let the fans imagine whatever they want to.
>>82306294
Or indeed for rainbow drinking to be an understood and not-rare phenomenon. Goodness me, how would the Lusii be incorporated into a Star Trek/nanny culture?
>>82306326
Mebe, but that has neither been stated nor seems to be a deliberate theme with them. It's easier to simply say that Scratch's work on Alternia was nothing less than extraordinary, the equivalent of breeding Trolls for evil and warfare so that, on a genetic basis, the average troll was very different from its Beforan counterpart.
>>82306409
Too bad it just so happens that humans have that too but aren't autistic enough to need to categorize it. Dave confirmed it, after all.
>>82306384
Eh, the Alternians were made as older counterparts to the A2 trolls first and foremost, and then the A1 trolls were in turn loosely based off them.
Following that logic the A1 ancestors should be the models that the A1 trolls follow.
So by that logic it'd make sense that A1 Karkat was the sort of guy who got stuff done by talking and shit, as opposed to being a revolutionary.
My personal theory is that A1 Troll Moses was really angry all the time, but people started listening to him and liking his ideas, and he managed to lead a large enough force that A1 Feferi became impressed, and with their combined forces Beforus became somewhat good.
And then in his old age, A1 Troll Moses became a lot more calm and collected, and while the Sufferer's last words were a long angry rant, the ... Lawgiver? Eh, it works, the Lawgiver's last words were a few quiet whispers to his closest friends.
>>82306496
Honestly the A1 ancestors are so low down the what pile there'll probably never be any acknowledgement. Unless the trollfags of tumblr make a surprise resurgence-cum-appeal, but they've all moved on to SU now.
>>82306386
>In a huge twist, "Trolls" are a parasitic sentience that cling to otherwise mindless grubs and slowly mutate their bodies into grey kids with horns
>>82305682
Rose's prose is a little extra purple.
>>82306514
Yes, let's go with Dave "people don't have arcs rose" as the one true confirmation.
Fuck, you just reminded me of how much of a mistake Johnrezi was.
No, humans can't feel Black emotions, that doesn't even make sense with how black emotions have been displayed in the story so far. Being a tsundere isn't having black emotions.
>>82306548
Lawgiver would work better for Terezi, who reformed the justice system into an actual court system instead of drawn-out executions.
>>82306548
I'm definitely not disagreeing on the idea of A1 Karkat as a member of the establishment moreso than a revolutionary. But Kankri and the Sufferer alike were lecturers and preachers, only the ancestor one was passionate and genuine. Karkat was a weak and useless warrior, so A1 ancestor Karkat was actually a really competent and feared soldier. The mirroring takes precedence over creating another prophet, although if any prophet fitted the bill it'd be Moses, the *action* prophet.
>>82306601
Let's be real here, black emotions were never portrayed well at any level. Maybe Hussie's blatant troll ancestor erotica kinda did it justice, but not really.
Like, what's the difference between wanting to kill someone and wanting to hatefuck them? Is there actually a difference? Hussie seemed to imply there was, and yet it's never really elaborated all that much on.
Would you a Terezi?
>>82306588
And gloriously so.
>>82306644
Last I checked Latula didn't really have a boner for justice that much, while Redglared did. So A1 Terezi would've been some kind of skateboarding Nostradamus, Predictor of the Vast Stunts.
>>82306583
>The "horns" are the fruiting bodies of a cordyceps
>"Plush" troll horns are now on sale at welovefine.
>>82306270
Exactly like Dualscar.
>>82306727
Wanting to kill VS wanting to lock in your sex dungeon?
>>82306738
Hussie made me hate her for killing John but also gave me a boner because she's exactly my type.
Then he expanded on her character and I fell in love, and then ruined her character so I fell out of love.
It's been a real rollercoaster, having her for a waifu. Granted, I do what any self-respecting Homestuck fan does and pretends everything post-Cascade never happened.
>>82306738
Maybe one without torso deformities.
daily reminder that Vriska did nothing wrong, and she is the best character in homestuck.
>>82306727
At best, you could say that the emotional state of being really niggled by someone else automatically induces arousal in trolls. It isn't really well portrayed at all. For instance, everyone on the meteor's red romantic needs are covered and explored, but the one black romance - Terezi vs Gamzee - is portrayed exclusively as an evil and abusive relationship. In reality all the trolls would have looking for an aggressive rival among their meteor peers just as much as they would've wanted a red lover. Yet perhaps outside of post-Retcon Terezi clearly trying to initiate something with John, and Karkat with Vriska, it goes untouched.
>>82306838
What did Hussie do to her?
>>82306738

Also her Remem8er bullshit did nothing. That flash was POINTLESS.
i was looking forward to that nepfic all day
>>82306815
See, I always liked the idea of black romance being a respectful, competitive rivalry where you also happen to fuck. Like maybe you're a troll martial artist and one of the dudes at your dojo keeps beating you shounen rival style, so you guys butt heads then you give heads to his butt. Or Paul Allen gets a real nice business card and a promotion and a reservation at Dorsia and you're so mad that you have no choice but to fuck him in the ass and make him cum.
But if kismesis aren't killing each other it kinda defeats the purpose of the auspitice or whatever.
>>82306838
i only pretend that when it comes to character development since i actually liked the events themselves pre-retcon

>>82307080
Because they knew the ending was hot sloppy garbage.
>>82306961
I too, ship Daverezi. My entire process through 5A and 5B was just me gripping onto my seat trying as hard as I could not to fall in love and ship my two favorite characters. Still mad they never got together post-retcon even though they had every reason to.
>>82307130
That's Roxy. Those are her kids.
>>82307133
You know what's better than candy corn? Those little pumpkins made out of the same substance. It's the same candy entirely, but the pumpkins are somehow even better.

13-16, maybe. She matches the design and proportions of all the other characters we've seen in the comic.

I watched his Act 7 talkback video. He raises some really good points, and mentions a few plot holes that I haven't seen talked about yet. But I think he has too much faith in Hussie. He says things like "who knows the story better than Hussie". But personally I feel like Hussie has checked out on Homestuck and didn't want to put a lot of effort into the ending.
>>82307156
ipgd isn't wrong though.
The ending wasn't rushed. It was the most calculated, well executed ending to a story he stopped writing 5 years ago.
>>82307130
well that picture is a few years older than that, given how young Jude looks, so let's say it's 1991 or so. Young Mom would be about 13 or 14 in that pic
>>82306248

It probably makes the most sense that Beforus would have be at least somewhat similar to what Alternia was had Feferi not been the empress for life.

AH: Storytelling is a touchy thing.
AH: Especially when you're writing the biggest webcomic on the internet.
AH: My story needed that final touch to end it.
AH: But because I was in too much of a hurry to do the job right.
AH: it's missing critical character development.
AH: So when I finished it, and watched the anime tadpole fly into Skaia
AH: and after all the fireworks and fanfare from the Act 7 flash had subsided
AH: I kind of felt like the story didn't end so good.
AH: Like it was shit.
AH: I think I gave it cancer.
AH: I gave the whole story cancer.
AH: You're welcome.

It'd start off as guys vs girls, then John would say something adorably naive and Dave would be all "no come on dont say shit like that" and Rose would chime in "I must agree" and Jade wouldn't see the problem and would defend him, then it'd be Derse vs Prospit banter, then eventually Dave would say something embarrassing and John and Rose would gang up on him while Jade defends him because she thinks he's sooooooo cooooool.
At least that's how I'd like it to go, just fun lighthearted teasing like old times, but with more participants.

>>82308394
Tumblr tried to justify it, but honestly Tumblr hated it just as much as us, if not for more character based reasons than the gaping plot holes.

>>82309552
leave me alone
i'm going through things
>>82309520yes
If you could go back in time seven years and tell your past self not to get into Homestuck because it would end with such a huge disappointment, would you?
>>82309673
8-...8oner..................
>>82309673
make the banana green
>>82309582
Oh right, he also didn't have Erisolsprite to talk to, since Vriska only wasted half the kernelsprites.
>>82309660
>>82309463
so what exactly happens instead?
does Jake even do the hopey thing
>>82309252
does this mean half of /co/ are repressed gays, and the reason why they disliked dave's character arc finalization is because it hits close to home?
>>82309649
Did you and that writefag ever decide on a webcomic?
>>82309691
No, thanks to the ending of 8-Bit Theatre being garbage, I realised at the end of Act 4 it wasn't going to end well, and still I kept reading.
>>82309673
where's the original
>>82309772
i think it might take more than a 24 hour period to meet someone entirely new and decide to be partners on something that may very well consume all of their free time until its completion
>>82309673
This looks like an edit from another image.
I'm going to need that image.
>>82309801
Is your name Angel fuckboy
>>82309691
I'd bring along an offline copy and leak it, ruining everything.
>>82309750
No. He did a Hopey thing because of Aranea in the GO timeline and because of Caliborn(?) in the Masterpiece timeline. Vriska compounded his issues and kept him from pulling it off because she's a bitch. Oh, and Brain Ghost Dirk when they were entering.
>>82309839
it could be................ but only for you, anon
>>82309873
man what the fuck
that's not a dick at all
>>82309873
you know very well what i meant, anon
i will hurt you
>>82309750
He didn't have a need to since Vriska neutralized Jade right away. That's really the main utility she had, you know, aside from all the other bullshit she did.
>>82309691
I'd tell myself to start reading ps instead and then hop on the homestuck train, I'd also tell myself to start writing smutfics for practice asap unlike waiting like I did
>>82304444
I wonder who is behind this post....
>>82309873
you cheeky fuck
>>82309896
>>82309937
It's just a shitty edit I made of Vriska. I don't have the skill to draw degenerate loli Trolls getting fucked senseless.
>>82309937
I can't look at that original comic page without flinching and clicking away quickly
>>82309691
i was a fucking idiot back then but if i didn't have a fucking idiot phase i'd be even worse
besides the mspa forums got nuked anyway so i'm almost free
>>82309960
>huh why are her sides censored
>weird it almost
>oh fuck
>>82309960
you done good
>>82309966
What?
>>82309994
Vestigal grub legs.
>>82310041
You're not fooling me
i want to fuck vriska!!
and little vriska too!!
and milf vriska!!!!
>>82310094

>>82310077

>>82310094
I want to kill Vriska
And (Vriska) too
And God Tier Vriska
>>82310112
that would be the best
>>82310094

>>82310077
What >>82310121 said.
If I wanted dark pockets being filled it would be white fingers.
>>82310094
Fuck off Hussie.
>>82309994
Grub scars are literally the worst headcanon about trolls ever. Yes, even worse than tentabulges.
>>82309960
Why does she have dicks on her sides?
DON'T
FUCK
BABIES
>>82310155
that HSG book guy better put this in there. fucking classic.
Vriska killed by Terezi >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mary Sue Vriska
Why couldn't Hussie have killed alive Vriska and bought dead Vriska back to life?
>>82310180
what if the baby was flirting with me first?
>>82310180
Fine, I'll stick to grubs.
>>82310184
>putting a gif in a book
>>82310184
I can't put a gif in a book nig, this isn't some Harry Potter shit
>>82310217
this
vittle vriska gave me those fuck-me eyes first
>>82310180
Alien babies are game.
- Hussie
>>82310153
To each his own, I like my Trolls a little more alien.
Besides, the Grub legs need to go SOMEWHERE, they don't just poof ooff.
>>82310195
You mean (Vriska) Vriska? Holy shit dude she was terrible too.
>>82310232
>>82310236
nigga you can put that panel alone. You dont need the other frames.
>>82310252
yes they do
we've seen shirtless trolls
>>82310232
>>82310236It's not animated you nerds. Just put it in as its own implication.
>>82309148
But she's queer and mentally ill, anon. Think of the representation.Pearl worst gem, Peridot best gem
>>82310180
>>82310217
>>82310231
>>82310250
>>82310252
I fucking hate this place so much
>>82310254
At least she had actual character development. At least she didn't hog the spotlight at the end.
>>82310180
Which kid is the least likely to fuck their baby
>>82310195
Vriska declared that she'd force her way back into the comic no matter what years ago. She can't be stopped.
>>82310250
Why are Aradia fans so weird?
>>82310293
Roxy would have fucked Dave if given the chance, I think she's ruled of that question.
>>82310273
We've seen poorly photoshopped human made to look like Trolls.Hell, Hussie's forgotten that the Troll should have colored eyes by now.
>>82310282
Why stay here then? Not that I'm condoning this bullshit, but why are you here still? The comic is kaput and the epilogue isn't going to be an improvement on the shit ending.
>>82310262
>>82310275
But the whole thing about the non-moving gif is that there's a chance it's the moving version.
Alright, I'll put it in
>>82310279
Exactly right.
>>82310330
>implying Roxy would fuck her beloved baby
>>82310293
Dirk is practically asexual, and even if he wasn't a baby doesn't offer much intellectual challenge for courting.
>>82310315
Aradia herself is pretty weird.
>>82310347
Just have it take up a page, and then have the page underneath it have the background so it looks like you've turned it into a flip book.
>>82310279
Which of these is more interesting: the former servant and soldier who doesn't know how to act now that the war is over and had an unhealthy relationship with her superior she romanticizes and that impacts her relationship with her superior's child, or a tiny meme-spewing smug asshole?
Pearl is a terrible role model, but she's not boring.
post characters that were in act 7 alive and healthy!!!!!!!!
>>82310342
yeah but those are canonically what they look like
>>82310155
Wait, nothing is happening. Is something supposed to happen here?
>>82310386
Alright that's a pretty hilarious idea
I might do that
>>82310343
Because as much as I hate it, I still love it in some way.
>>82310389
i was going to post terezi and then i couldn't
it's not fair...........
>>82310293
Which kid is the MOST likely
>>82310389
Vriska is fucking dead
>>82310387
tiny meme-spewing smug asshole, definitely.
>>82310379
Yeah but not babyfucking weird.
>>82310415
OR IS SHE
Either way she made it to act 7 with all the other important characters.
>>82310415
she was in act 7 alive tho
>>82310389
Even if Vriska was alive through broken god-tier clock shenanigans she's effectively getting eternally spawncamped by a black hole the size of a universe.
>>82310406
https://youtu.be/T5s2NL_AKM8?t=14s
>>82310395
They lack elf ears that the Trolls have in canon.
>>82310409
None because all the kids are effective enough parents to know NOT TO FUCK BABIES
>>82310407
I'm glad you recognize that Terezi's depression makes her technically not healthy, that's very forward-thinking of you.
>>82310389
What about superior versions of characters that made it past act 6
lmao @ spades slick fedoras
>>82310478
>more loli vriska edits
>>82310465
God damned embedding
I meant for the 14 second mark to be the starting point. It doesn't matter though; it would still be stupid even if it functioned as I intended.
>>82310504

>>82310544
dam karkat thicc..!!
>>82310544
Why do people keep changing Karkat into a self insert?
does anyone have that picture of Doc Scratch becoming flustered from grub Handmaid suckling on his finger
can you really blame him after seeing THIS?
>>82310544
Is this canon?
Homestuck on /co/: For when you have to be told not to fuck a baby.â„¢
>>82310595
the mods have it in for us as is.
What is the "Squidward Dabbing" of Homestuck?
>>82310577
he saw how big of a slut she was in beforus
>>82310504
I never knew how much I missed this.
It's so reassuringly familiar.
>>82310595
What if Nep got her hands on a baby Karkat
>>82310702
she'd be a kitty diddler
>>82310702
Nep would totally do it. Whatever it is trolls can do, she would. She knows there is NO other chance and would try to think of ways to condition him to want her later somehow, even though she knows it will never work.
>>82310702
If Nepeta grew up into an adult alone, I'm sure she'd become a pedo in her later years to make up for the young love she never had
>>82310746
karkat should have just alchemized himself into a girl so john would fuck him
don't give me that look
>>82310864
well can i at least give you the dick instead?
>>82310744
That's not how it works tho
>>82310892
How would you know? Are you a pedo?
This guy's a pedo, people!

No, I mean GROWING UP ALONE you shit!

He should really keep the glasses. They help balance out the lips.
Does Byron also have the lips?
>>82310957
>tfw Vriska can just beat any human she ever encounters by putting them to sleep, no matter how powerful they ever get
Where the fuck are my final fantasy ribbons at, we have to stop this slut

god damn hussie why don't you make panels this good anymore
>>82311308
He hasn't made any panels at all for quite some time now.
It's disappointing. I want classic Hussie writing and Hussie art, not some outsourced anime crap...
tfw you will never fuck roxy
>>82311373
kill me
>>82306884
Tumblr would have been turbo-triggered by that -- they would be too stupid to understand the difference between condoning human abusive relationships, and neutrally depicting a species with a totally different approach to reproduction.
Goodnight HSG, I will dream of updates.
>>82311037
lewd as fuck
>>82310478
>elf ears that the Trolls have in canon
What part of "trolls look exactly like the photoshopped humans on the movie posters" being canon was hard to grasp
What canon are you talking about
