You know I've been thinking about last week's episode. Didn't that tachyon device thing actually take a minute to kick in? Zoom was even gaining on him for a while before it jumpstarted. If so, that would mean that he's in the Speed Force itself, which would make a lot of sense given the title "The Runaway Dinosaur": Venditti/Jensen's run had dinosaurs and all sorts of things lost to time hidden in the Speed Force.

Out of all the DCEU movies, this has me the most hyped.
Lord and Miller on the story sounds great, especially considering the bleak-ish but super-funny Last Man on Earth. The writer/director has also written the Lego Batman movie (and I think the adaptations of his books can be forgiven since he didn't have as much control as WB are likely offering him for this movie).
All things considered, I think it could be fantastic. We still have basically nothing, though, in terms of actual believable information.

Hunter is defeated in the same way as the comics: Forced through a time window, frozen while reviving his mother's death.
S.T.A.R. Labs is destroyed. Caitlin begins her descend, Cisco takes the first steps towards becoming Vibe, Barry gets disowned by Joe and Iris.
Wally and Jesse become speedsters, so do several other people across the world.
He'll get disowned by everyone because of his plan.
He and Wells agreed to provide Zoom with Barry's speed to lull him into a false sense of security. But Barry's speed is also a temporary solution.
However, as part of their plan, Wally was endangered and Caitlin is kidnapped and will be tortured by Zoom. Plus... Believe it or not... She'll have a Stockholm Syndrome-esque relationship with Hunter and actually accuse Barry of not giving Hunter a chance.
In the end, Barry will burn all of his bridges. Believe me, the season finale will be hit after hit for him.
One last thing, Thawne is a looming presence in the season finale. His actions are brought up several times, Iris directly compares Barry to him, and the season ends with Barry alone in his laboratory, rewatching that video Thawne/Wells left him about how he's his own worse enemy, with a voice-over by Barry mulling over the cost of his actions and how he doesn't know if he can consider defeating Zoom a victory if he lost everything in the process.

Caitilin is going to develop a Stockholm Syndrome affection to Zoom, going as far as to say that Barry didn't gave Zoom a chance

Iris is going to compare Barry to Thawne in the way that Barry manipulated everyone feelings and people they care about only to get to Zoom

Season 1 was no masterpiece. The overarching story is solid, the casting is mostly good, and the directing for most episodes is great, but there were things that really dragged it down.
Iris was poorly cast as a partner for Barry. She had real chemistry with Eddie (likely because the actress found Eddie hot), but her body language and tone when talking to Barry is like that of a cheerleader patronizing a nerd so he'll go away.
Any time the show wasn't on the main plotline it nosedived hard. Plastique and All-Star Team Up are two of the worst episodes of anything I've ever seen.
The finale of S1 bent over backwards to try to justify a last-minute change of plans because they failed to establish real consequences for time travel or any reasonable objection to Barry repairing the timeline by removing Zoom's influence.

I think the problem, essentially, is that the show put too much emphasis on setting up HUGE plotpoints and then purposely delaying the resolution of said plotpoints.
Even with S1's flaws, it never "planned" too far ahead. That is, we rarely if ever knew where we were going, and to the degree that we did, the hype was always increasing because these plotpoints would be resolved quickly and new ones would take their place.
With S2, there have been too many instances where we're left dangling -- not for a single cliffhanger or something a bit longer, but for 4-6 episodes at a time. This does nothing useful except 1) piss off the audience, 2) make everything else seem like filler, and 3) make the eventual resolution seem hackneyed, if it lacks the depth that extra episodes would presumably give it. Because honestly, if you're going to delay the answer, then the answer better be fucking good.
So far, most of the resolutions have been around S1-tier. But, add in the delays (within the show and from the scheduling), and those resolutions seem like pure garbage. Then, add in some of them being a part of pants-on-head retarded episodes, and you get a lot of angry people who are now tired of the show.
