The worst part is the style itself. Shows like Steven Universe or Adventure Time do have errors, but they have ambition - a distinct style and fluidity, with tons of locales that need to be redrawn regularly and large casts of unusual-looking characters. Shows like the modern Simpsons or Teen Titans Go have pretty stiff, cookie-cutter animation that's never gonna blow anyone away, so they pride themselves on consistency, staying on-model and keeping the costs down.
But NuPPG fails at both. If it were dazzlingly animated with a few errors, or cheaply animated with no errors, those would be understandable. But it's neither of those things. It looks like shit, and it can't even do that well.

NuPPG showcases everything wrong with current cartoons. From the SJW propaganda to the lack of originality/personality and just plain old "we don't care."
Consider the sheer audacity of those people. PPG is one of THE cartoons of their golden era and I consider it as one of the best cartoons ever. They did not recognize or capitalize on any of that. The logical thing to do would be to throw money and talent at the reboot, if they cared at all. But they did not and do not care. I think that's the true SJW curse in the end. To them everything is a mass produced and soulless husk. The people behind this do not give two shits about the PPG or for that matter any other cartoon. The emotional resonance is completely absent. It wasn't enough to use a shit art style, to slightly redesign (read: ruin) the old designs and make new characters that dont fit in at all. No, they had to completely miss and subsequently destroy the whole point of those design decisions to begin with.
Professor Utonium was made up out of squares, like the basis of male anatomy. Similarly Ms Bellum had an hourglass shape. If you look at their proportions compared to the other townsfolk, that wasnt a coincidence. they represent the only mature, intelligent adults. the father and the mother figure to the girls.
Meanwhile the Mayor has proportions more similar to a child, because he was, like the townfolk, a fucking idiot.
The square shape of the professor also made him look more formal and I suppose you'd call it mathematical? Both he and Ms Bellum were supposed to be the intelligent side or morality, raising these kids with incredible muscle to use their powers to do the right thing.
