Liking Neon is an odd process, anon

Well, with all the people and resources devoted to Xray and Vav, Camp Camp, and RWBY Chibi, they probably could do something decent. They're just making shit joke series these days, and that doesn't work since RT's written comedy has kinda sucked ever since the old guard was phased out. The only reason RvB is still funny is because all the characters were already in place by the time Burnie left.
I dunno, they should just stick to what they know they can do well, and that obviously isn't comedy these days.

I want a season finale that feels like a genuine victory for the heroes. My main problem with the first two volumes' endings was it felt like nothing had been accomplished. The bad guys were still on the loose, keikaku was still on track, and the status quo remained unchanged.
I would like for the volume 2 to have been 'the empire strikes back' season and for volume 3 to be like 'return of the jedi' in comparison. They shouldn't reclaim and fix Beacon overnight, absolutely not, but they should knock Cinder and the Dragon off of the tower--maybe even off Cinder and/or take away her Maiden powers. Em should also finally decide that Cinder's group is in the wrong and go rogue.
Tensions will still be high between the nations and Color War II should still be on the way, but we should see that the heroes do stand a fighting chance against Salem's forces.

I'm big on the season being 2/3 suffering until something happens to push the heroes into action in preparation for the finale. The last few episodes will be a return to Beacon to reclaim the tower. Beacon will still be in shambles, but they'll have reclaimed their home and undone what seems to be a key factor in Salem's victory. In the volume finale RWBY reunites and Penny 2.0 (who does not have the same memories as the original Penny and maybe even has a different personality as to not cheapen Penny's death) becomes the new P in JNPR.
The two teams, along with other teams we've seen before and some new allies, storm the tower in the ruins of Beacon for plot reasons. This is when Cinder reawakens, albeit she's been weakened. I can work with thatbetter yet for errybody to win here, we get the bonding and disabler teasing after some tough-love from mercury mixed with some heartfelt remarks about being an amputee, albeit followed up with some snarky comment to try and save his face of course, and Yang and Merc team up to get Yang back to Ruby but Merc plans to ditch and go back to doing what he does best after, being the bad guy. Upon reaching them he gets his shit fucked by Ruby and his fake legs 'cut off' before they can explain, Yang shouts at Ruby and helps Merc reattach them. After things are explained, while Ruby is still suspicious and unhappy about it RNJR offers him the chance to join them.
Bonus points if we get some extra Disabler teasing in the mini-adventure Yang and Merc have trying to catch up to RNJR.

Emerald's was fine with setting up Yang, Pyrrha and Penny. Didn't hesitate to do it. The scene of a whole city being ravaged by Grimm provoked, at the time, nothing more than mild sadness at the sight. Em ain't going to be having any emotional breakdown.
