Who is the best Robin in your opinion /co/?
Dick
Damian, best exemplified in Morrison's Batman and Robin. Good twist on the usual Robin role in that he's basically Bruce to the extreme, and he actually has a semblance of a personality unlike Tim and Jason.

Damian is the only Robin who takes the role seriously with the sometimes exception of Dick.
Jason and Tim saw the Robin mantle as the typical sidekick role. Damian views the Robin mantle as a precursor to Batman. He treats himself as an apprentice not an assistant. That makes the Robin mantle more interesting.
That's why Damian makes the best Robin.

Nigger, Tim saw himself as Bruce's partner. That was the whole appeal behind Bruce and Tim's dynamic. Also, he was literally being trained to take the mantle before Morrison got onto the books.
Jason didn't view himself as a sidekick, he viewed Robin as an opportunity to kick back at the shit hand life dealt him. He was rowdy but learning to be better. That was his appeal.
But you obviously haven't read anything before Morrison's run, so I don't expect you to really get that from them.

I liked Carrie the most, Dick's a close second.
Tim, since he was the only one who gave both respected and earned the role of Robin. Everyone else had it handed to them. Tim had to work for it and prove why Batman needed a partner.

It depend on the Tim you're talking about. One Tim was unsure of himself as robin, pushed into the job by alfred and dick, moving forward to become his own detective to be a better partner for batman having several exploits with his own "catwoman", he went on to make a team of super powered friends with Superboy and Impulse and so on an so forth. Maybe if people actually read any comics at all they would know instead of saying he was bland without knowing he was part of a bigger structured picture in general. People who say he was the worst Robin have actually never read about any of the other Robins runs like Stephanie's Run or Jason's Run. I bet more then half of them haven't even read Dick's run as Robin and are saying he's the best because that's what everyone else is saying without knowing why.

Jason Todd. You may scoff, but if you picked up the books with him in it prior to his death, he was the most realistic Robin of them all. Had his own issues, problems, and these were ones that we could relate to.
Teenage angst, fitting in, wondering about life, lashing out - he was a teen in a superhero gig rather than a superhero with a teen gig.
