Why doesn't Henry just write a Superman movie?
Henry has said multiple times that he considers acting to be his job, his way of making money and supporting his friends and family, not any kind of art. Why would he want to write?
I think Jon Favreau should write/direct one. He clearly has a decent grasp on how to direct superhero movies with a balance of seriousness and levity and his more recent projects show he has a good grasp on the visual.
I think he could deliver a Superman movie with enough of the family-friendly uplifting energy folks want from Supes, while balancing it out with just enough real-world weight to keep the adults interested and thinking "Yeah, what about that?"
Well, he's not a writer, for one.
But now that he's essentially "locked" into the Superman role, they should write something more playful that takes advantage of Henry's natural charisma, rather try to turn him into Batman or Spider-Man.
Or at least let him talk more, and talk to other people.

You know, if they had him as down-on-his-luck Simon Williams, fading movie star, he could really use that upbeat "sure the reviews were shit, but hey, we made a movie, isn't that great" persona to great effect.
Let's hope WB are willing to drop his contract.

MOS was incredible and Bvs was flawed but still great. It damn sure is.

MOS/BVS have nothing on common with 90s trash, they are mythic yet realistic epics in the vein of Supreme Power.
