This isn't a character trait. John has no defining character traits, no weaknesses, and no strengths.
He is literally blank for a reason, and surrounded by other characters made more, even if you disagree with choices made, is ultimately the worse character.
He holds no connection to Roxy even though their relationship is forced to throw shippers a bone to gnaw on.
John is without a doubt the worst character because he has always been designed to have none, and as time went by and nothing was made of it; all it did was become a matter of if this was an intentional stick to ground to not let the author/reader insert alienate, or if was shear laziness by the author.
