Just because Gravity Falls had a bad ending doesn't mean the show was bad. I'll admit, the ending was awful; the worst ending to anything (until the Homestuck ending happened). The rest of the show was fine, though, aside from a slow episode now and again.
I can understand not liking the rest of the things on the new list, but Steven Universe? Really? It doesn't even have to do with the whole "SJW" thing, but as someone who used to be a fan of the series, I simply don't know how you can like the show aside from thinking a character is cute. Constant, multiple-month hiatuses, and for what? Slow, predictable story elements, threats that take fucking ages to show up, and characters that really aren't as complex as people say they are. Garnet's personality revolves around the fact that she's a fusion; the only time she's ever shown any actual fucking emotion was that one episode with steven on the roof in the rain. Pearl is probably the most complex of them, but she mostly boils down to missing Rose and being a perfectionist with a low self esteem. Amethyst is a slob and also has low self esteem. Peridot is an alien. She doesn't know earth things. That's her joke. Even to the point where, despite being an engineer, she doesn't know what a fucking wheel is.
That being said, what's wrong with LMAATR? You can't use the "it's only liked because of waifus!" because I could easily say that's the only reason why Steven Universe is popular.
And what's wrong with Samurai Jack? I'm getting the idea that you only dislike these things because you wanna be a contrarian.

Your artistic choices can be informed by an agenda or worldview. SU definitely has a very progressive feel to it and that shows in the characters.
Its not necessarily bad, in fact I'd say SU does a great job of putting forth something like that without letting it hurt the show.

That's true. I try to seperate the agenda from the work and with something like SU, which I think is well executed, that's easy. So even if I don't agree I can at least enjoy the show. At this point though I respect the Crewniverse for pushing the envelope as much as they have and the fact that I got a character I can relate to(pic related) out of their attempt to diversify the cast makes me more tolerant of when I can catch the agenda.
The shitiest taste in this thread are the people who liked Ed Ed and Eddy and the people who dident like animaniacs

Also, the underrated shows are usually the best to me. Shit like Back and the Barnyard and Fish Hooks is just funny to me. Especially Barnyard, that's the most underrated cartoon I've ever seen. I laughed so hard at almost all of the episodes. Cartoony shows like Sanjay, UG, and Pig Goat immediately get respect points for daring to be an actual cartoon. Also, Uncle Grandpa is the best cartoon of the decade to me.

Found a fellow Back at the Barnyard lover. It is probably in my top 5 Nick cartoons. I have legitimately laugh very hard at near every episode. Sanjay and Craig was amazing when it wasnt a grossout show. That aspect bogged it down hard. Pig Goat is great.
