Reposting my ideas for a Captain Caveman reboot (the whole series needs very little tweaking):
>rip off Mystery Inc/Be Cool - they're college freshmen who still haven't found their place in the world, but solving mysteries is one thing they're all really good at in their own way
>give the girls a personality each, and give them character development (Brenda becomes less of a wet blanket, etc)
>rip off Encino Man when Cavey is unfrozen
>replace "Bad time for power cut!" for "Maybe me try alternative fuel sources..."
>lampshade the age dfference between Taffy and Cavey (Twilight parody?)
>give the girls a regular antagonist e.g. preppy sorority bitches, incuding one who doesn't WANT to be mean, but easily caves into peer pressure

Why people are so stupid? MCU happened not only because they've been planning on building it early on, but also because they've put all of their chips on Iron Man's success. If it wasn't successful it would've meant no MCU. Even though we see Nick Fury at the end, it was a mere glimpse of possible future to come, other than that movie is perfectly self-contained package.
Then they made Iron Man 2 with specific goal to shill Avengers and tie Iron Man to it (even more) and look at the results.

Scooby Doo, Josie and the Pussycats, and The Flintstones have already had live-action adaptations, with varying success. Properly remade with a unifying theme, they could be a really good thing.
It'll probably be fine, even if they can't get Gunn back. Unless it ends up being a Mad Max-style Wacky Races and shit like that. Nobody wants to see that.

If done right, he'll still resemble the old design, but with more emphasis put on his nose, arms, and face in general. Still don't think it would make a good movie though. As a mystery show on CN, could be great.

It exploded for Marvel and everyone's trying to hurry onto the bandwagon to catch up on that sweet cash.
What people fail to understand is that you can't really rush into a cinematic universe, see DC cramming a bunch of poorly done movie set-ups into Batman v Superman, and they're trying to get Justice League out the door before it's finished getting dressed.
