I recall a lot of debate on /co/ at the time because Thor learns the value of humility, empathy, and how the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few all in the span of a weekend holiday on Earth instead of walking the world as Doctor Donald Blake.
I can see where they're coming from and the regret that Thor's story was simplified for the movie audience, removing his dual identities.
