They're basically saying there aren't a lot of deleted scenes and they were cut because they weren't really important or they were simply repetitive. This is opposite to what AoU did where it was announced it had a lot of deleted scenes, even scenes that are integral to the characters' arcs.
What the Russos are saying is basically opposite of advertising the CW BD. They are upfront in saying that there aren't much bonus scenes.
What they're saying doesn't sound like you should buy the BD, but what they're saying says a lot about how they work. That's what you should get from it.
