John Goodman was, pun intended, insanely good in this movie.
Overall the movie is VERY mediocre. It suffered the same 90s movie syndrome that so many adaptations had at the time.
Was this the movie where that one girl has a daydream at a pool and when she leaves two girls get dragged in by tentacles or something?
Betty was the worst possible choice.
