This is probably the truest book to screen adaptation of the Joker. I look at Leto in this shot and all I see is the Joker.
If not for the tattoos and grill, I'd agree 100%.
Even with those I'm sure Leto can do a fine job if the writing and direction is any good.
Not that I believe any of that was likely any good.
