I vaguely remember marathoning season 1 on nico nico douga (god knows why I chose to do that instead of getting the English subs but anyways), so it's not surprising that the Japs know about Wakfu.

Apparently, "dwarf nigga" isn't Joris' natural form, and at one point they considered showing what he naturally looks like in the movie. Though they eventually dropped the idea, we still have concept art from the movie's artbook.

Oh yes. It's probably weird for newcomers, but as an existing fan of Ankama, it's great. They basically took all the charm and cuteness of Dofus, threw in Wakfu's three-dimensional villains and high stakes conflicts, and kept the usual humor and great music. There were a few things I didn't like about it, and one decision in particular that is facepalm worthy and that Tot admits had half the studio saying it was a terrible idea and the other half saying go for it. But overall, it's miles above the OVAs and has restored my faith in Ankama producing more great animation. We might just need someone to look over Tot's shoulder from time to time.

It's a bit too much of a plot point. You'll know when you see it, though, it's the macguffin of the story. As if Tolkien took the idea of Sauron's ring and replaced it with something really, really dumb but still hinged the story on it.
