I'm starting to think that Cartoon Network, rather than print an error, backpedaled on giving this show two more seasons after they realized they approved of this
CN makes really dumb decisions all the time forever since the past decade, but canceling the absurd nonsensical show before some of their other trash doesn't really help them much.

CN isn't backpedaling anything, they never liked this show and the people who greenlit it don't work there any more.

Why is absurdist humor shittier in animation? Like, I find comedy groups like Aunty Donna fucking hilarious but when this kind of humor is translated to animation it just seems shit.

In live action, it clashes with reality.
In animation, it's a fantasy clashing with fantasy.
But the absurd doesn't clash or seem out of place in the absurd, it's just a mass of blandness that melts together at that point.

Secret Mountain Fort Awesome was cancelled but for some reason they felt like he deserved another show so they took the Uncle Grandpa concept and made it a full-fledged series.
