Note that canonically Sentry is at the very lowest in WWH. Not to mention that his energy should soothe the Hulk (though, as WWH was pretty self-concious, that might not be the case). Another thing is that Hulk was the protag and Sentry was the final boss, what else could happen?

Sentry never had powerlevel of Reece, by Remender he's confirmed to be a spiritual being mostly, that simply can control reality in his immediate surroundings to a greater degree than Owen can alter it. Recall how he asked Owen to put everything back as it was, because he couldn't do it? To be completely fair, many times Thor isn't considered an Earth's hero. Also this Thanos' statement was meant to picture the might of Champion w/ Power Gem, that allowed him to raise his power indefinitely, alike to Hulk's rage.
