Sliding timescale. The 90's issue was a "lost inventory issue" so the joke was that it's supposedly a reprinting of an actual issue from the 90's. However, to current day Deadpool this incident happened 7-8 years ago (since his daughter was an infant at the time), rather than 20+ years ago. That's why the "current day" flashback looks more recent.

He's fucked around in the timeline enough he's even canonically present for events that happened BEFORE the character was created.
Also, because he's a fourth wall breaker for much of his career, he's allowed to lampshade the illogical nature of the sliding time scale.

Even if we go by sliding timescale, Sabretooth still had a different look "7 years ago". When you do a flashback, you usually show characters with the looks they would have had at the time.
