Why is Marvel so poplar in Japan?
>>81469665
because marvel gave them the super robot
>>81469665
ayy lmao
>>81469729
And because we're not the only country that saved all those "Superman slaps a Jap" pictures.
>>81469729
>Spider-Man is a humongous progenitor of the super sentai genre on par with Goldenbat.
What a world. What a world.
>>81469665
Lotta gook characters
>>81469665
Nico Nico Nicumberbatch
>>81469765
It's funny cause Superman Slaps a Jap is kid gloves compared to the stuff that came from Timely/Marvel at that time.
>>81470326
Yeah but you gotta get deep into things to remember Hammond Human Torch, and Captain America tends to steal all the "Marvel Comics in WW2" attention

That may be true but it's still funny when you consider the DC WWII covers come off pretty light with something like this.
The Timely Comics WWII covers by Alex Schomburg are seriously over-the-top by comparison.
>>81470416
God why is Namor such an ugly motherfucker?
>>81470528
I can't remember, did they retcon things so that Steve Rogers was only in Europe and that the Captain America fighting Japanese soldiers was someone else taking on the identity after Steve was MIA?
>>81470648
By the way, Alex Schomburg who did these Timely covers also did WWII covers for other companies, including this one for Nedor.
>>81469665
Marvel isn't popular. The movies are, and they are so because Disney is exceptional at running an international media empire with specific strategies and local partners in each region.
>>81469665
I don't think american comics are that popular there. They only get batman and a few other things
>>81470691
Ha, ha what the fuck? That is a Super Hero and his boy sidekick literally steamrolling japs. I don't even know how to react to that.
>>81470691
I find most of these racist covers funny but this one is disturbing.
>>81469980
i havent laughed this hard in a while. thank you anon
>>81470691
wow are they villain or something?
>>81470747
Tim don't fuck around
>>81469665
It's a myrrhacle.
>>81469729
>>81469787
I honestly think this is a candidate for "most hilariously inexplicable thing ever."
Remember that one time Avengers was pokemon?

They like bad things, such as manga.
>>81473267
No, they like LELSORANDUMB, like Marvel.
>>81473325
>>81473267
>>81470691
Nigga, you are already running them over with a steam roller. Shooting them seems excessive.
>>81470716
But Marvel is/was popular, hence Disney buying it up along with Star Wars to try and corner the "boys" market. I'm sure they considered DC as a prospective purchase, but that would've been completely out of the question given that they're owned by Warner Bros. I mean, yeah, the comics don't sell well, but that's true across the whole industry these days.
I think what it boils down to is that Marvel movies are directly aimed to appeal to the masses rather than all us dirty shut-ins who pirate our comics anyway. They're designed from the ground-up to be exciting, entertaining feel-good films, for the most part. Like, what the fuck normal person would want to see a film where Superman is grim as fuck? Not Johnny Public, no sir. WB need to look at what worked in older Superman films and modern Marvel films, not recent Batman films, if they wanna make DC other than Batman work on the big screen.
>>81470428
holy shit that's brutal.
>>81470648
Yeah, that was after Cap got iced.
>>81473246
Is this show still going on?
>>81474207
NoAnd they did not make a figure for anime waifu Wasp.
>>81474207
Concluded in Japan but the English dub is ongoing on Disney XD Southeast Asia.
>>81469665
Because Marvel actually tries to cooperate with japanese manga and anime studios.
>>81474268
Also Marvel has some Japanese talent such as Gurihiru and Takeshi Miyazawa.
>>81473578
Let them have it, man. Being a DC fan is suffering.

shock!
>>81469665
Those hacks on gook island don't have a single creative bone in their entire body
>>81469665
Probably because most the Marvel movies aren't afraid to have bright colours and have more traditional super heroes, instead of the gritty ones. Japan is big on conformism and don't like things that breaks the mould.
>>81474792
That sounds just like the cape and movie industry.

What's exactly the difference between this and that 12 year old deviantart user who hates somebody and kills them in his online comic?
>>81475264
The year in which they come out
>>81475264
One of them made lots of money and has left a legacy enjoyed by thousands of people even still today while no one will care about the other one in 10 years.
