What Green Lantern stories would you recommend to a new fan or casual reader, /co/?
Hard Mode:Nothing from Geoff John's runs
Infinite Crisis Mode:No Green Lantern/Green Arrow[/spoilers]
The early stuff from volume 3 is great and really under appreciated.
It focused on Hal, Guy, and John about equally and was pretty damn good.

That's not hard. Ron Marz's run.
>Infinite Crisis Mode: No Green Lantern/Green Arrow
Again, Ron Marz's run.
Silver Age Hal.
Are there any single/two issue tps I can get that will give me a better idea on green lanterns story, or that are just overall good?

A trade preferably but arcs or single issues are fine too
gerard jones run

>Kyle
Fuck off.
Op, read Wolfman's run. It defines Hal's character almost as strongly as GL/GA and has (coming from someone who's read every issue of GL ever published) my favorite issue of anything ever. It's OoP, though, so you'll need a torrent.

>he doesn't like Kyle
what kind of no-fun monster are you

I love Guy and Alan. It ain't about fun. I just think he's overhyped as a solo character, when he was only ever really good in team books. (JLA, GLC, Omega Men)

Hal is pretty great in Justice and New Frontier, even though they aren't GL books (although John has a cool moment in Justice too)

He's the GL i grew up with so i'm absolutely biased on this, but I did enjoy his book for many years.
