I liked it. It had some interesting ideas, like having Atlantis and Themyscira being the top two super powers of the world and Batman being Thomas Wayne. Art was cool. One of the only two events to actually destroy universes for real. Tie-ins were mostly boring or irrelevant.

It was a poor's man House of M, it made no sense (alternative timelines don't work in the same way as alternative universe, but Johns forgot about that).
Somehow Barry's mom is the most important person in the universe. People Can't trust Johns after that. It was really fun, casuals love it. It was the start of the push of Cyborg.
It could had been a great Elseworld world if you took the flash stuff out.

This, basically. Flashpoint would have been a fun little bit of Elseworlds nonsense, if it had gone back to status quo at the end. Instead it launches the colossal fuckfest of past five years and going.

Inferior to secret wars and crisis od infinite earths. If you're rebooting a universe at least make the event a swan song for wht happened before man. Secret wars was about the guys who began the universe and touched on many previous storys. So did the crisis. This didnt. Its like if a Spiderman centric event rebooted marvel.
