Can we all just appreciate this concept art? Wonder Woman was depicted perfectly, why could't they have casted her with an appropriate actor? Cavil and Afflek played their parts right and event match the concept art perfectly - but this Wonder Woman is straight out of the comics.

The other anon's point was that imagery and symbolism by itself is meaningless unless the use of imagery is saying something about the symbols or the comparison/contrast it's drawing.
Just referencing symbols does nothing. It's the Family Guy approach brought to the art world, where the reference has no point but being a reference.
What is BvS saying about either Superman, Jesus, or both? Nothing. Empty references are what intellectually vapid people do to seem smart. Actual smart people use references and symbols as tools to make a point.

With the millstone of BvS around DC's neck, you might not be seeing too many more DCEU movies.
BvS was supposed to be a grand slam franchise launcher, but it's underperforming and critically panned. Whatever they have coming next better be stellar or they're going to run out of steam like Sony's Amazing Spider-man franchise.
The ASM movies didn't exactly bomb, either, they just consistently underwhelmed, and when you're talking about mega-budget tentpole movies, anything less than enormous success is a failure.
