And best live action Lex. Great Lois and Lionel were great too. Welling was a good Clark in the last seasons. The series is pretty enjoyable if you just make your own list of suggested episodes for each season. Except that one where Lana becomes a magician or dates the son of a magician. Fuck that, lowest point probably.
Smallville had best Kents, best Lois, best Lex, and arguably best Jimmy.

Yeah, I would agree that Jonathan was really good. Ford wasn't really on screen as much in comparison and is non-existent otherwise in pretty much any other live action portrayal except for 'worst dad' Costner.
I'd prefer Hatcher. She did a good job when she was strong and assertive (which came and went after frog Lois but still).

Surprised they went that far. Pa Kent full on drunk, shouting bible quotes and slurs. That was one of the most awkward Thanksgiving episodes I have ever seen

They made her a bit too hippie dippy. Not in any really bad way, and he reminded me a bit too much of a Tom Poston (sp?) Happy Day type father, versus Jonathan. He had his moments, but I'd pick Smallville easily over them as well.
