The name of the ep eludes me atm, but it was about Billy's mom regressing in age and trying to mother him on the fly (making him watch shitty movies and so forth) and the thing escalates into a full blown war between her and Mandy (who doesn't know the girl is his mom). Neither does Billy for that matter.

I think he just doesn't see his love as anything out of the ordinary. He is after all a pretty affectionate and kind individual when it comes down to it. Dumb as a brick, but full of love.
