Her problems could be solved by making her less dependent on Oliver. As it stands, she's a very weak character because everything about her gets tied back to Ollie in some way.

I think killing felicity would solve the problem. It's the the only guarantee.
You know what would solve Felicity's problem? Fire her from Arrow and move her over to Supergirl. Like seriously, this could be best thing for the Arrow. Have her accidently get sucked into a portal that leads to Earth-S (S for Supes). Then have her romance James and be like a love triangle between Supergirl and Felicity for James.
