This really doesn't count, it's part of a long narrative, and it's a double sized issue.
As to not just be negative as fuck, pic related.

That was a Weird issue, and I've recently just read it

yep

underrated gem from an underrated run

Yea, Waid for some strange reason gets all the praise for that general era when he's the one that autismed up the Flash into GOTTA GO FAST.

and this
Even for Punisher MAX this issue is fucked up

Not to be that guy again, but these don't really count either. What makes a good single issue story in mainstream comics is that the writer and artist are able to tell a good, complete and satisfying story in 20-25 pages, because that is a challenge. When the stories are more pages than that, it becomes less and less of a challenge.
Once again to not be a negative cunt, one of my favorites from recent times.
out of my way fucking shits
The nearness of you.
It was honestly smaller than most comic issues but holy shit it made me cry. One of the single most beautiful and endearing stories i've ever seen told in comic book form.

Meta as fuck too. It's great.

That's just fucking autistic, you are definitely THAT guy. Those are slightly longer than normal, big deal. They're one and done stories and they aren't OGNs. Please do yourself a favor and shut up.

>Not to be that guy again
Then don't be. They've already been posted. You do no good by bitching about it. I hate when people say "not to be that guy" and then go right ahead being that guy.
I feel like this ones a copout. cos i believe it won a world fantasy award. But it honestly was a beautiful and memorable issue. When it came out i recall reading it and until that moment the idea of ever reading shakespeare never occurred to me. So i gotta throw this one out there if only for being the thing that got me to read 'a midsummer nights dream' which became my most beloved story of all time. Go fig in all these years ive never gotten to see it performed live. But i regularly watch the movie of it starring kevin kline.
I fucking love stanley tucci as puck.
I mean fucking hell I got a tattoo of goddamn bottom and titania i ended up loving the play so much so damn right this was a 10/10 issue.

Get better taste than stories that are specifically crafted to not be 25 pages to tell their story. When they literally have 2 issues worth of pages to tell the story they are not "single issue stories".
cheating basically

Oh yes, that is a great one. Only bad thing is the guy just being like "Hurr Hulk is a brute so i don't have to fight him"
If you 'Pog' and didn't feel remorse you got something wrong in your heart son.
This battle was great! It was basically the DD version of that Spiderman vs The Juggernaut story, but instead of tricking Namor, or alternatively, pulling out some sorta stupid handwavey mumbo jumbo for Daredevil to beat a guy 100 times as strong as him, the issue ends with Daredevil essentially beat to near death at Namor's feet, while the fishy felow himself has barely broken a sweat fending off Daredevil's attacks. The cool part of this issue though is that the sheer stubbornness of DD's fighting spirit is enough to convince Namor to give up his latest crusade to destroy the surface world, out of respect for an opponent who just wouldn't give up, no matter the odds. It's a great character story for Daredevil, it because it doesn't nerf him in any way, it's a fun Namor story as well. 10/10 superhero action.

Another great one

Wood's stint on DD is fantastic and isn't brought up nearly enough when it comes to great superhero comic art.
It would be a lie to say you can pick any Barks Duck comic and get a 10/10 story, but there are plenty of them and this is one of my favorites.
Basically all of Barks Christmas stories are perfect, but this is my favorite of what I've read
Donald and Scrooge, misunderstandings and conflict, kindness and warmth, it's got it all
