For those wondering, he amended this by saying he takes criticism of the show very serioisly but he has no real pull compared to the main writers.
So I'm guessing I'm not alone in dropping the show cause I was fed up of Felicity? If she was actually right and Oliver was being a dick, I'd be okay with her getting focus but they've ruined the show by making her the focus.

Then I caught up and she got shot and I thought it'd be some great character development for the team and make the show good again. Then they revealed wasn't dead and I said fuck it. Flash is far superior
