Here's hoping they don't fuck it up. Thunderbolts was the only arc EMH didn't tackle that I've been interested in.
Part of what made the original Thuderbolts run so exciting was how genuinely surprising the twist was. It's not the same when they recreate it in animation.
The only way to recapture that is to introduce an OC team and OC members with an entirely different Masters roster.

It could still be possible to do a Thunderbolts arc in animation, but you would have to let the Masters of Evil have one or two appearances, then have a big arc where the normal protagonists are put on the shelf at the end, then introduce the Tbolts.
