Why do people want to see a streamer's face so desperately

some are ok but there are way to many streamers and youtubers who insist on having their face take up 1/3+ of the screen usually covering something important. Shit like that makes it unwatchable for me even if its just on in the background on another monitor. Don't get me started on loud notifications and other shit the pops up whenever anyone subscribes or donates.
