Are there any luchador superheroes in Marvel or DC? If not, why aren't there any? It just makes sense.

Bane?
>>81220450
Bane is a supervillain and the lucha aspect is pretty toned down.
I'm talking full-on luchadors, with wrestling and everything.
Bane?
Bane?

marvel has some or had some, dont know the names
at some point a male version of White Tiger was luchador-like too
Didn't one of the International Batmen wear a lucha mask?
Also Bwana/Freedom Beast kinda looks like a Luchadore.
>>81220441
>Found them
Rage from Marvel
>>81220635
I think you might be talking about the Batman of Argentina.
And even then I'm pretty sure it wasn't a lucha mask. On top of that, I think his archenemy had an actual lucha gimmick.
So yeah, not quite what I'm looking for.
>>81220681
So he's a straight up luchador then?
>>81220441
Ape X
>>81220441
That tiger luchador woman in Teen Titans cartoon.
>>81220695
>So he's a straight up luchador then?
>Widely known as a former Avenger and New Warrior, Rage was a viewpoint character who answered the question “What would youdo if you were a 13-year-old kid who got exposed to Official Marvel Comics Issue Toxic Waste™ and got a new body where you looked ten years older, were super-strong, and invulnerable?”It’s an alarmingly specific question, yes, but it’s one that young comics readers have been pondering for the past seven decades, and most of them have come to the conclusion that they’d do what Elvin Haliday did: Put on a tiger-print lucha mask and hang out with Captain America until everyone found out you were actually in 8th Grade. Which, now that I think of it, basically makes Rage the Marvel Comics Luchador version of Billy Batson.

>talking, sentient luchador ape
I honestly don't know why I'm surprised. These are superhero comic books after all.
Hispanic Luchador Daredevil alt universe when
It fits him perfectly. His dad's a fighter and latinos are just as catholic as the irish

That's actually not a bad idea at all.

Oh fuck I forgot about her. Did she ever get any characterization at all?
>>81220832
>Pantha is another Honorary Titan who had been targeted by the Brotherhood of Evil; in spite of their best efforts, she manages to prevent her capture. She partners with Beast Boy, Jericho, Herald, and Más (of Más y Menos) in order to free their captured comrades. Pantha also proves useful as being bilingual; speaking both Spanish and English, she translates Más' instructions as he guides the group to where the frozen Titans are being held in the Brotherhood's fortress.
Instead of her traditional feral human hybrid appearance from the comic books, Pantha is rather portrayed as a popular Mexican wrestler (or luchadora) with a superhuman level of strength and speed, wearing a black-and-yellow tiger-striped singlet, a yellow belt bearing a capital "P" symbol, wrestling boots, and a yellow tiger-style wrestling mask. Her go-to ability is a finishing move she calls "The Pantha's Claw," in which she applies an Iron Claw submission hold with a ferally-morphed hand, capable of stunning an opponent as large as Mammoth.
>>81220847
Wasn't that in the last season?
>>81220882
Yes.
Jaime Reyes' design was inspired by lucha masks
>>81220882
it was her spotlight.
>Cyborg met her at a wrestling ring and made her an Honorary Titan. She was then attacked by Adonis and Atlas whom were sent by the Brotherhood of Evil, but defeats them both.
later Pantha joined the team of Beast Boy, Más, Herald and Jericho to launch an assault on the Brotherhood of Evil's main headquarters, and then took part in the final battle against the various supervillains assembled by the Brotherhood of Evil

Look into the Batman '66 comic's Bane.
any good comics about luchas?
also post luchas that would work well in capeshit.
Wasn't there a Mexican Deadpool whose basically a luchador with no powers trying to be a hero?
>>81220551
Bane?
>>81220970
Oh shit, this looks awesome. I should read this.
>>81221001
Massacre?
He's currently on Deadpool's Mercs for Money squad. They showed his origin story a couple issues ago.
>>81220487
>Bane is a supervillain
A hero of the people type supervillain though!
It gets really pronounced in the New52 because both Bane and Killer Croc have the same shtick - teaching the underdog to be strong. Although Croc has the whole "fighting for the repressed underclass" thing locked down, aside from the eating people bit.
>>81220985
>also post luchas that would work well in capeshit.
currently back home in mexico, saving orphans. Even trained a disciple name Sami Zayn to carry on his legacy
>>81221066
Bane has never come across as a luchador supervillain/hero to me though. Yeah I know his appearance is based off of luchas and all, but to me it always just seemed like he just threw on a lucha mask and called it a day.
>>81220487
>>81220441
You want one? Okay, from Mexico, ¡EL ENMASCARADO DE PLATA, EL SANTO!
https://youtu.be/KXTMGJi8yic
Hellboy had some adventures with some luchadors and even became one for a while.
Doesn't Batman sorta count in some incarnation?
Also B'wanna Beast?
>>81220441
Baz
>>81221066
I like Bane as the villain that's really not trying to be a villain, like Brock as Venom.
neither marvel nor dc, but there was an awesome hellboy comic where hellboy rolled with these luchadore brothers hunting down vampires across mexico for a few months
>>81222891
Stan Lee's Batman was a wrestler. It was actually a really cool book, I wish there was more of him, provided he got a redesign.
>>81220985
The entire roster of Lucha Underground.
The Thing's solo comic was about wrestling in the UCWF for a considerable time. Also Marvel had a stable of evil female wrestlers called The Grapplers that doesn't show up enough. Screaming Mimi was a member and it is a shame that Songbird never pulls out a northern lights suplex for old time's sake.
>>81220441
was getting people to post Bane? part of your master plan?
>>81228301
Of coursh
>>81228506
Well congratulations! You got yourself posted!
No one's posted the Zapata Brothers yet? Really?
>>81220695
He became an actual luchador for about a page in a joke story about D-Man's life finally becoming good just before the universe ended from Secret Wars. It's notable for his line of "Now the luchador mask will finally make sense!"
Were there any luchas back when the Thing (and Justice and Songbird) was a pro wrestler?
>>81222059
>that time when El Santo and Blue Demon wrestled Dracula and the Wolf Man to death
Fuck Batman vs Superman, that was the best superhero movie.
Mutafukaz has luchadores
>>81220725
Like him or hate him one thing Chris Sims knows is Luchadores
>>81227972

>>81232653

Prince Puma is a cute! CUTE!
>>81232755
agreed, or I'd have to put up with the shit taste of those who think Lucha Underground is good, not that the wwe is any better https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiNqPwyHsAM

He's all about machismo, lucha pride and being a territorial alpha male, getting into feuds for little to no reason and throwing spinning backbreakers like candy.
