/co/, I want to cry. But I can't. Help me cry.
Please suggest the best comics and cartoons (or movies or books or whatever else) that tug at the heartstrings, but in a well-written manner rather than cheap pathos. Bittersweetness a huge plus.
Reduce me to a big blubbering mess of bitch tears.

The Illusionist
10/10 movie that will make you cry.
>>81209310
Oh, well someone seems to have it uploaded onto YouTube.
Ok /co/ watch it now before it is taken down like Bee movie was taken off Porn Hub.

Hitman. The Garth Ennis comic, not the video game. The Goon: Chinatown. Mary and Max, the Australian stop-motion film.
>>81209222
Meltdown.
>>81209546
It's there since 2013, so I think it's safe.
RIP Bee Movie.
>>81209906
Is that a comic or a joke about that comedy series?
>>81210184
Bee movie was up for a similar amount of time.
It's Such a Beautiful Day
I'm sure I'm asking for trouble by praising something this much on /co/, but it was one of those few films so beautiful and perfect that it has had an impact on who I am as a person. One of my all time favorite films, not just counting animation.
Also the time travel one with the girl, I forget the name but it's by the same guy and it's about as good.
>>81209222
Not a comic but read Monster.
You'll cry buckets when best character kicks the bucket. Trust me.
Makes me sad now just remembering it.
>>81210218
>>81210300
Dude I watched like 45 min of it... I tried... Shits spews pretentious
>>81210184
>Is that a comic or a joke about that comedy series?
Meltdown is a comic.
>>81210809
Sorry, it's just that googling for it kept returning this comic shop in LA.
When The Wind Blows, comes in comic and movie form.
It's not /co/ but the Time Traveler's Wife made me sob like a little bitch. The book, not the trash movie they made that no one should ever ever ever see. Also the movie Ruby Sparks made me a little emotional.
I've been told that Welcome to the NHK, Gurren Lagann, Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion all qualify. Confirm/deny?
>>81212139
assuming not b8, Gurren Lagann and Bebop are just entry-level anime that newfags never shut up about, they are good but don't make you cry.
OP should watch Grave of the Fireflies or 10cm Per Second if he wants to cry over anime

Not baiting, it's what I got when searching around.

Relax, you can download it off youtube now and watch it later.
Well, IF you want a quick way to help you almost cry.
I know it's cheating but...

It could still work if someone make an edit with /co/ waifus instead of animals.

It's this one:

Slice of life always hits the hardest.
Batman - The original animated series. Generally all the origin stories where like that. These have way more emotion and depth than anything Gotham has dished out so far.

>>81217595
Wait, you mean Dave The Barbarian that old cartoon, or the comic Joe The Barbarian.
>>81217780
shit, I meant joe the barbarian
sorry
but still watche dave the barbarian its good
I always cry watching it, but mainly tears of happiness at the end
Bambi when his mother died? How about the death of Simba's father in Lion King?
One last bump before bed.
The last comic I cried at was Laika, and the last cartoon I cried at was The Fox and the Hound.
>>81209310
The Illusionist didn't make me cry, it just made me feel like an empty sac of shit. Not a nice bittersweet balance. Too much bitter.
>>81212295
I second Grave of the Fireflies. Turned me into a weepy mess.
>>81212831
Thanks anon, I cried.
That "But You Didn't" comic for a quickie cry

You might find them a bit cheap, but I always found the Chinese 2008 earthquake comics devastating because of their basis in real life.
