Well, that was okay. I'm not a big fan of the main character, but then I suppose it's only realistic that if you have a kid with metahuman smarts they'd end up being kind of a prick.

His book is OK, don't be so impulsive. A common trope for crossovers is to create a misunderstanding or put one of the two protagonists in a situation were they appear to be an ass, this helps create an arc for each of them to cross over as they learn more about one another and such... People need to let stories breath before they judge them. I wish there was some kind of common saying that could help get this point across all people.
