Is the face we're seeing now his true face?
Before, he had something like a blank clean mask, and occasionally the illusion would come down and we'd see a very distorted, rotted face.
But now he's going around with this face, which is basically a greyed zombie version of his old self. Was the rotted face yet another illusion born out his self perception as an undead abomination? I thought he mentioned coming to terms with his undeath after the Khert adventure, and how his face illusion was part of that?

The face shown in this page is a glamour, which was refined after Sette's little pep talk. So now we're seeing him as she does.

His true face is the gross zombie face. The blank clean mask from before was a cheap glamour that he constructed out of the forest; it looked normal for the most part but was still noticeably discolored. His new glamour is a perspective glamour, which basically alters his appearance to what people around him expect or want to see.
The Duane that we see is the Duane that Sette sees, and Sette sees him as a slimmed down version of his old self with scars around his eyes from his murder, so essentially what he would look like now had he survived his murder. She knows that's not what he really looks like, but she thinks of him as just a normal guy who was an unfortunate victim of circumstance, so that's what she sees.
